It seems since the arrival of JJ and CLM saga there have been tension between the fans and CLM. Last year there was a couple of remarks about how the fans didn't like the team even though they had a good record. It seems CLM loves LSU but he doesn't care for the fans to much. This seems to have created two sides between LSU nation and in the locker room. IMHO this was created by CLM for putting one player above the rest of the team and LSU. Half back up CLM half are against him. I don't see us having a horrible season anytime soon but I do see the perception of LSU getting worse

Les loves our fans. He may not love their opinions about who started at QB, but he loves the fans.

I see the opposite. I don't see how next years team can be tempered from the coaching side. I think Les wins back the fan base and some admiration from football fans (non LSU) he seems to have lost.

I've always respected Coach Miles and would not hesitate sending my kid to play for him, if he played football instead of baseball. People overlook what he accomplished during Katrina, and kept the program going and growing since the departure of CNS.

IMHO, there have been many fans who just couldn't get over not having CNS for a long long time, and still haven't. When he won the NC, all was forgiven by them, then they went right back to being cynical.

Being a college coach is tough, and it's not tougher at LSU than anywhere else. CLM has kept LSU at the top of college football since his arrival, that's all I know. No one wins the NC every year. But football has been fun the past few years. He could have left twice, but didn't.

Look, NO ONE enjoyed the BCSNG, if you're a fan, when you lose it hurts. I'll admit that at the moment I too wanted JL to come in, if only for a spark. But I soon realized after thinking about it, that spark could have turned into a pick six and we'd have been out of it much earlier.

Ok this has been rehashed, but I think just about every other BCS school would love to have our problem of winning. CLM I believe is seen in a positive light by way more of the fan base than those who don't. Until the record proves different, I'm fine having Miles as our coach, a good family man.

if you want to run him off for a Mike Sherman, that's what you may get.

There is no disconnect between LSU nation and the lockerroom.

There is a disconnect from some of the tards that post on TD and the majority of LSU nation.

It's no secret everyone associated with LSU football was mad about 1/9/12. We all saw the same situation. We all agree about what happened. It's just taht some feel the need to keep posting the same stuff a month later and the majority have moved on and are looking forward to 2012.

I assure you, if LSU and Bama had a rematch this weekend in BR, the scene would be crazy, the stadium would be maxed out, and every person that is a fan of LSU would be going bonkers for the game.

There is no disconnect, just a handful that keep wanting to dwell on Jan. 9th.

The reality is there is a contingent of LSU's fanbase that feels LSU is a mediocre program and that the past decade has been an anomaly. They are waiting for the program to fall and jump on anything negative so they can validate that underlying feeling. It's unfortunate, but they will never change no matter how successful LSU is. They are probably like that in RL as well, always waiting for something bad to happen rather than enjoying the present. I feel sad for them tbh.

That's a great view. It's like the kid who comes running home with a 99 on his report card and mom says "you could have had a 100, why didn't you get a 100???" And yet when the plumber doesn't fix the toilet right, its OK. Family is always hurt first. Never happy, glass half empty.

Both the sunshine pumpers ad the doom and gloom crowd are pathetic and delusional. Both are pretty worthless outside of pure entertainment value.

There are faults with the program, and expectations are higher than ever simply because the program is at it's apex. Miles isn't perfect and makes mistakes, nothing wrong with pointing them out but also give praise when it is deserved as well. Those who refuse to acknowledge that, and those who are just waiting for him to fail are more entertainment than to be taken seriously.
