Going to Sevierville TN, should I bring my own beer?

I'm going on a trip to Sevierville, TN next week and as I searched for bars/pubs I noticed the lack of good beer. I am a big fan of IPA's. Does anyone know where I can get good beer while I'm there, or do I need to bring my own? TIA

I'm almost positive you will be able to find any of the Highland Brewing Company Beers, out of Asheville, around there. It's real good stuff.

The Kroger had a surprising beer selection. I drug my own beer for no reason. decent beers out in Gatlinburb at Smoky Mtn Brewery - food was meh. Stick with burgers and bar food.

You should be able to find a good bit up there in the stores. Like YA said, Highland should be available as should others like Terrapin, Sweetwater, possibly some Yazoo, and some other NC, GA, and TN beers.
The thing to remember about TN is that some beers are sold in the grocery and others are sold in liquor stores. Depends on the ABV of the beer. I think 6% is the cut-off between grocery and liquor store. Maybe 6.5%. Can't remember.

Beer above 5% ABV is only sold in liquor stores.
Beer below 5% ABV is only sold in grocery or convenience stores.
You can't buy wine or liquor in the grocery stores.
You can't buy anything other than alcohol in liquor stores (no mixers, wine openers, solo cups, etc)
You can buy beer on Sundays after 12 (in most counties). Liquor stores aren't open on Sunday.

Thanks for the clarification. Been a few years since I've lived in TN.

There is a pretty good brewery in the town of Gatlinburg which isn't that far if I recall. They had decent beer and pretty good food. While you are there, they also have a moonshine distillery. Probably worth the trip into town for some samples
