Las Vegas restaurant advice

I'm sure there have been many threads pertaining to Las Vegas dining; However td's search feature is terrible and I'm to lazy to sift through pages of threads. Next month I'm going to be in Vegas with soon to be mrs. Tbrig3211 for a few days and I am seeking advice from you F&D board masters of all things culinary. I definitely want to have dinner at a nice steak house one night but I'm open to whatever for the other dinners. Also, where are some good breakfast and lunch spots? Thanks in advance.

Here's the most recent thread
My recommendation:
Go eat at the Foundation Room at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay. It's on the 64th floor and has an outside deck that has the best view in town. On restaurants.com you can usually find a deal for a $50 coupon for $10. It's not any more expensive than other nice restaurants and the view makes it quite memorable.
My 2nd favorite meal is at Il Mulino in the Caesar's Forum Shops. Best Italian I've ever had. Bouchon in The Venetian is great too, but not especially romantic.

We're going to Battista's Hole in the Wall next Friday night, and Prime Steakhouse in the Bellagio on Sat. night...damn, at $60+/per those steaks better be fed to me off a showgirl.

I always recommend Burger Bar for a no fuss/cheap meal. It's pretty damn good for what it is.
It's in the mall area between Mandalay and Luxor.
In my experience, stay away from the Wolf Gang Puck restaurants. They're all overpriced for what you get.

Try Bouchon or any Keller spot. Rubochon and Craftsteak in the Grand are really good as well.

If you're down with Japaneese, hit up Okado at the Wynn. There's a waterfall/tropical lagoon just outside an open bay window. The food is great, and you don't ever want to leave. Very Zen.

Prime at the Bellagio. Very good steaks and very expensive. Worth the splurge.

I can't give you steak house options because I am just not one to travel and eat steak out. But I had my birthday dinner at Sage by Shawn McClain in the Aria hotel, and it was amazing. They have a 4 course prix fixe menu for only $75/person, which is hard to beat in Vegas. Their drink list was amazing, with more absinthe than anywhere in the US.
If you are okay with venturing off the strip, this board and the Food Network on TV have hyped Lotus of Siam a lot. It's a Thai restaurant that supposedly is one of the best. I wanted to go there, but unfortunately the people I was with did not want to leave the strip :/
Sushi Samba wasn't really worth it.. yet it was advertised everywhere. If I were you, I'd listen to the advice here and on places like Chowhound to see what the foodies recommend. There seemed to be hundreds of places where you just can't go wrong, though.

For breakfast you can go buffet (Wynn, Bellagio, Wicked Spoon @ Cosmopolitan) or head towards Riviera and go eat at the Peppermill. Those are my favorite spots when I actually wake up in time to eat breakfast.
There are literally dozens of great steakhouses. It all depends on your budget and location.

We're staying at the Venetian and budget isn't much of an issue. A quick question for the beer snobs; Are there any good local brews I should try while I'm out there that we don't normally get in the New Olreans area?

One thing we enjoyed was the Business Lunch at The Palm steakhouse in the forum shops. Think it was $20 pp for a great 3 course meal.
The noodle place in Caesars was good too. In The Venetian the little hole in the wall italian place was nice. Also just like getting a slice of pizza at New York New York for lunch.

Alize in the Palms is the best view in vegas, but you are looking at $400+ for a meal

You going for 311 day?
Yes. And a $400 meal is a little much. $200 is about my limit.

The Steak House in Circus Circus. You can doubt me, you can spend more, but you will not be dissapointed in the meal if you trust me.

Cut at the Palazzo..about $300 with drinks and apps for 2...best steaks in town
Nobu at the Hard Rock for Sushi
Mesa Grill at Caesars hard to describe...pretty good with a Southwestern type of flare
If you want a good Italian restaurant off the Strip....try The Bootlegger Bistro....
