Tried Superior Seafood last night

Hit up the new Superior Seafood last night on St. Charles and napoleon.
Nice experience overall. Ambiance is LOUD, the Galatoire's style floors and the tin plated pattern ceilings (or whatever you would term it) make for a noisy joint, but that's the sound of commerce.
Had the chargrilled oysters, which were nice. Good time of year for ersters, and they were very large. They use more cheese in the mixture, which means more "sauce" compared to Drago's, which is more buttery. Nice job though. $18.99/doz
Also had the home made chips with blue cheese sauce. Chips were fine, sort of like Zapps, but the blue cheese sauce was clearly home made, and very good for a dipping sauce. $4.99
Dinner salads were good. Standard mixed greens with cherry tomatoes and a kalamata olive or two. The blue cheese was plentiful.
My entree was the Buffalo Trace Jumbo Shrimp Skewers. Shrimp were jumbo, but the vegetables on the skewers were very small and few. The Buffalo Trace sauce was tasty. It came with some cheese grits (Superior Grits) and whipped butter sauce. The grits were very good, and complemented the shrimp nicely. $16.95
The wife had the Shrimp Andouille Brochettes. The shrimp were again large, the bacon was thick, and the andouille and Monterrey Jack cheese in the wrapping was delicious. Lightly fried, and fantastic. It came with a side of green beans and some whipped potatoes that were satisfying. I preferred the sides with my skewers, but the brochettes were better. (If the shrimp brochettes came with the grits, I would be in heaven.) $23.95 (probably $4 too high)
No dessert because we ate like pigs, and the NOLA Browns are a heavy beer choice, especially four of them.
Overall, a nice experience, the ambiance is loud, but the decor is nice, exactly what you would expect from a slightly upscale New Orleans Seafood restaurant.

Homemade blue cheese?
Nice review, though.

More cheese does not = better
