Offensive tackle. Depending how he develops could become a good LT

He's already 280lbs and ha hasn't been Moffitized yet.

OT is his most likely landing spot, being 6'6" and all.

thanks i really don't know how to identify a line prospect.a LT is typically more agile if slightly less powerful than a RT?

But then again, Brockers was only 255 coming out of HS and he became one of the best DTs in the nation.

However, Brockers really was a special player. I was so glad to have him, albeit for only two years. Not many 6'6" DTs out there.

He could play DT but was recruited at OT and that's where he has the most upside. Has top notch athleticism for an OT. May have the highest ceiling of anyone in the class. Derrick Raymond is the only one in contention imo but alsmost the whole class is an upside class. Lot of boom or bust kids. Coaching and development will be huge for the final grade of this class in 5 years.

I was thinking there is still a good chance that he'll end up at DT but after Miller decommitted, now I'm sure he ends up on the OL. I think he'll be a LT due to his athleticism with Vadal opposite of him.

Hawkins seems to be a perfect LT candidate. He could play on the dline for most schools, kid also plays basketball. So yeah I say he's pretty athletic for his size.

As do I.

Brockers was only around 250-260 when he showed up on campus. Hawkins is already 20-30 pounds heavier, but still has the frame to carry a few more pounds. Bumping him up to 300-310 would have him right in the mold of what Brockers was when he left.

I honestly think that after a year of red-shirting, and Moffit-ization, his frame will be amazing. (NB4 homo, mancrush, etc...)

I think he plays OT. Especially with Miller going to AU.

He will play OT. He is a 3.8 - 4.0 kid. Made all the calls on the o-line. great feet . Tall and somewhat lean at 280 haha. pretty tough kid......had to drag him off the field a couple of times when he was injured. He doesnt have any quit in him.

Even though you typically want your long arm guys on the OL, I think with his athleticism and current weight he would be a great DL. He has the weight to focus on his speed & strength and not worry too much about gaining.

So he played both ways in high school? I'd like to see vids of him on the DL if anyone has a link. He's one of the few I haven't really evaluated from the comfort of my recliner.

That poster would know. Coached him, I believe.

Surprised he didn't mention that Hawkins was athletic enough to play baseball at his size, too.

I saw him here in Tempe a few weekends on a visit to ASU. He is the size of a Man with the smile of a kid! Big dude! I yelled Who Dat? to him and he smiled and gave the thumbs up.
