I watched Ghost in the Shell 2.0 again for the first time in a few years and it was better than I remembered.

yeah, there is like... 0 comedy in KoS, and it seems to take itself way to seriously. That being said, I use to love the Gundam series.. so it's still just kinda a "must finish it" series, not to mention there is only 12 episodes, so it's pretty easy.

I haven't watched Gundam since Gundam Wing when I was a kid. That was such an underrated anime IMO

I liked the first couple episodes of KoS but it just took it in a crappy, depressing, and hopeless direction.
There is nothing wrong with depressing and hopeless, but it has to be done right. Attack on Titan did it reasonably well.
This show was nothing but depressing.

KoS had me for a lil' bit. But the CGI and character designs makes it impossible for me to know who the hell is doing what. A bunch of character'll die and I won't who the hell they were or why X character is upset about it other than it means the monster tentacle things (take a shot) are winning the arbitrary war.

I just noticed that there's Psycho Pass, and Psycho Pass New Edit which is on-going. Have you watched New Edit? I was wondering if I should watch the newer one or the original version.
Also, not sure if Steins;Gate has been recommended or not, but I'm nine episodes in and hooked. It's supposed to be a sequel of sorts to Chaos;Head, but so far the two shows have nothing in common. I thought Chaos;Head was terrible, but Steins;Gate has been great so far.

I remember liking gundam wing a lot, but they followed it up on cartoon network with another gundam series that sucked. I'd give it another shot, but don't even know if there's a series you're supposed to start with.

Screw you G-Gundam is awesome.
But seriously, I liked G-Gundam. You can start from the beginning by watching the Gundam Movie Trilogy. It condenses the first 50 episode gundam series into 3 movies. I cuts out some stuff but you get the most important things.
The short Gundam series are really good and they dont take long to watch. Gundam 0080, Gundam 0083 and my personal favorite is Gundam 08th MS Team. 0080 and 08thMS tell side storied that focus on relationships and the effects of war.
