Just go to DBZ tv. Com and watch every episode over again. that should be enough for your fix.

Oh , and watch Inyuasha for the theme music. Good music. Pretty good show too.

It was about this Japanese kid who lived with his great uncle (or something).
He was learning to use the sword.
And all these space women started coming down to live him, and he had to deal with it.
Like there was this princess chick and this outlaw chick and this old-looking chick who used this spirit laptop thing that she could summon when she wanted to do research.
And there were some interstellar police chicks, too.

Tenchi Muyo (one of my favorites)

others I liked:
Trigun
Death Note
Cowboy Bebop
Outlaw Star
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (better than orignal)
Princess Mononoke
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Rozen Maiden
DBZ Kai (less constipation scenes)

Ah, thank you very much.
+1.

Edit:
Best first post, as far as I'm concerned.

Well, let me try another one then. I thought this show was Trigun, but after watching the first episode of Trigun, I'm pretty sure it is not. Sorry, only have the first episode to work with.

I believe there is a bounty out on the main character (sounds like Trigun right?), or it could be that the main character is a bounty hunter, but for some reason I think the protagonist is being pursued. But, unlike Trigun, the first episode takes place in space at a seedy space port, and the episode revolves around the protagonist's trying to fix his busted ship to stay on the run. The show also has a western, Firefly, kind of feel to it.

edit: I figured it out, Cowboy Bepop. I think I might start with it over Trigun.

If you like Ninja Scroll, you would probably like Basilisk. Ninja Scroll is an homage to the ninja novels that Basilisk is directly based off of. It's on Netflix instant btw.

No one has listed X either and I just remembered it. I liked it a good bit too and I think it is on netflix instant now.

frick that show.

If people thought DBZ was bad, Inuyasha is worse. Inuyasha has to be the only show out there where the main villain is the exact same person throughout the entire show.

"Hooray! We killed Naraku."

"Oh wait, no we didn't."

End of next season:

"Finally, we killed him."

"Nope, he escaped again."

Next, next season:

"Definitely got him that time."

"Nope, the bastard slipped away again."

Rinse and repeat.

frick Inuyasha.

Pretty damn good list. I enjoyed all of them very much, except for Rosen Maiden, which I haven't seen. But since you listed it along with all those other shows I enjoy I will have to look into it.

Ahh that takes me back Dragons of Heaven and Earth.... it was pretty good. The final fight had one of the most memorable scenes where he is on his knees crying.

Inuyasha

The show was good for the most part, but the ending was just meh. The main story was built up so well over hundreds of episodes, but the final few seasons were just so weak since they strayed off the path and started doing filler type quests.

That show was ridiculous.

It was just Inuyasha learning new powers over whole seasons to still not kill Naraku.

Oh god yes, you must watch Cowboy Bebop. Show is amazing, and so is its movie.

Wolf's Rain starts slow but is amazing
Check out Last Exile. One of the best anime tv shows I've seen.
Also, Monster and Boccanno! Are fantastic

Also, Outlaw Star is great if you like sci fi. Kinda along the same lines as trigun, but in space

I can think of several shows where the main antagonist is fairly constant or at least present throughout the series.

They can't be as bad as Inuyasha.

Dallas
LOST
The Simpsons
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Twin Peaks
The X-Files
Spongebob
Rocky and Bullwinkle
Roots
Game of Thrones (if you assume Cersei is the main antagonist)
Heroes
Prison Break
The Dukes of Hazard
Batman: The Animated Series
Superman: The Animated Series
Countless kids shows

Maybe not, but I don't see the problem with having a central antagonist throughout the story as long as it doesn't get redundant and stupid, like Sylar in Heroes did.

Never saw Inuyasha, but the way Scruffy described it sounded like main villain died (or they thought they killed him) each time then came back to life. How many of the shows you listed had that happen?

And Where is the script to Akira OMLandshark?

Mr. Burns
Cigarette Smoking Man
Cersei (she's the true root cause of almost all the conflict, aside from Daenerys plotline)
Sylar

Sure they are not always the main antagonist of the story, but they are present and always willing to strike again, which was the point of the post. Plus if you had to narrow down one villain from each of these series to be the main antagonist, I think we'd agree on this.

Well... the Man in Black in LOST died once before but came back, but that was long before the series actually began. But nothing like dying repeatably, although the Joker did have some "apparent deaths" in BTAS, but survived all but the final encounter.

I haven't seen it personally, but Cracked did and did an entire rundown of what a shite show it was.
