First of all, I am optimistic that the program is still strong and have another championship year ahead. But in all my years of following sports, have you ever seen such a dramatic impact one game had on a program regarding:
- perception on teams accomplishments
- perception on teams character
- perception on teams coach's ability
- impact on recruiting class
- impact on fan base
- etc....

it seemed that on Monday afternoon we were on top of the mountain and today.... well.... you know the rest of the story.

Looking forward to next year, no doubt that this last game will serve to keep the fire in the bellies of our team....

Hopefully we have reached closure and can have some nice surprises with the rest of this recruiting process....

Perception is from a delusional fanbase doesn't mean reality.

Thats the problem with bowl games. You don't get to make it up next week. UF game in 03 was as worse, but we were able to respond. Same as Ark 07. Actually the worst was the loss to UAB. But we responded by beating a ranked Tenn.

No, and the craziest part is that it only could have had such an impact if it had happened the way it did. If LSU wins that game, fans are happy but probably pass it off as just another win over an opponent LSU had beaten already just a couple of months prior to finish a great season.

The old saying that "All's well that ends well", has never been so true for Bama. The lofty achievements were great. The accolades were coming in from the "outsiders" as possibly the GOAT. That lofty feeling meant a greater distance to fall. I fell hard, but I got back up, and so will the Tigers.

Because what people saw last Monday did not compute. We went from a team with arguably the most impressive regular season in college football history, and possibly one of the best teams of all time to being embarrassed and giving the worst championship game performance in history.

We listened to the experts tell us we couldn't beat Saban with 6 weeks to prepare and we defended Miles and his loose style and expected a good performance. The test is history.

Actually I was ok the night after the game but it got worse for me as the week progressed and based on the responses here it looks to be the same for many others
