Rank 'em in terms of tacky fanbase overreactions
Here are mine:
6 - 2006 Auburn (REFS!)
5 - 2008 Bama (Tar/Feather Lee)
4 - 2007 Arkansas (Les can't handle the large stage)
3 - 2005 Tennessee (Who have we hired? What's with this Defense?)
2 - 2009 Ole Miss (KMS)
1 - 2011 Bama NCG (Les FTL)
God there have been some epic melts over the years

shite if we can rebound after Tennessee and Ole Miss we'll be perfectly fine next year. When September rolls around and we're blowing bitches out, all will be forgiven.

This thread was not what I thought it was going to be. Thank god

That list is why Miles is the perfect coach for LSU. The one thing a football coach at LSU or a politician in Louisiana cannot be forgiven for is being boring. And LSU under Miles has been anything but boring.

Tennessee - 2010*
*LSU didn't lose this game, but tried like hell to do so.

That tennessee game was awful. I felt good going in witha 21 - 0 lead at half then it happened.

Saban wouldn't have lost any of those, fwiw.

Interesting that those 6 are exactly 1/3 of the total amount of Miles' losses in his 7 years at LSU. I would include the 2010 UT victory, and 2007 UK OT loss.
Meanwhile, Saban had his share of meltdown losses in just 5 years at LSU:
2000 Auburn, UAB, Fla. (esp. UAB)
2001 Ole Miss, Fla. (esp. Ole Miss)
2002 Va.Tech, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Texas
(esp. VT and Arkansas)
2003 Florida
2004 Auburn, Georgia, Iowa
Saban only had 1 season in Baton Rouge with less than 3 losses.

As far as impacting the program these two are the worst:
1. 2011 Bama
2. 2006 Auburn
2011 Bama for obvious reasons
In 2006, had LSU beat Auburn. LSU would have made the SECCG 3 times in a row, and very possibly winning 2 SEC Titles and 2 National Championships back to back.
3. 2005 Tennessee
This one hurt bad, LSU could have been undefeated going into the 2005 SECCG.
4. 2007 Arkansas
LSU losing with the NC game on the line was frustrating. This loss would be 1 or 2 if WV didn't lose the following week.
5. 2009 Ole Miss - Pitiful
1. 2011 Bama
2. 2006 Auburn

$abun is 3-3 vs. Miles
And would be 2-3 vs. CLM if it wasnt for a rematch roughly a month later.

Considering that MIles has coached almost 100 games at LSU, that's a short list
which is a good thing
