Where did Miles go?

Isnt this the Miles guy that ran an end around with Deangelo Peterson vs Bama at home.
Isnt this the Miles guy that pulled JJ and put JL in to get wins last year vs Bama and Florida?
Isnt this the Miles guy that went for it on 4th down all the time the year we won the NC against Ohio St?
Isnt this the Miles guy that got in the face of the media and told everyone to basically piss off and have a great day Im the coach at LSU?
Isnt this the Miles guy that just turned down his so called DREAM JOB?
Well then where was this so called Miles guy Monday night?
All I saw was him looking up at the scoreboard(like he always does), arms folded, looking dejected, looking defeated, looking like someone just picked on him and he was just in a corner pouting like a bitch.
Mix in some FRICKING ASTROTURF into that diet.
But no I guess this Miles wasn't hungry.

No only that, he pulld JL and put in JJ to get a win at Bama this year....why not do the reverse to win in NOLA?

Yea, him and everyone else on the team. From the first snap of the freaking game it looked out of hand. Hope they get their sh!t together soon.

It is extremely puzzling no doubt. I wish I had a clue.

I agree this is the most puzzling. Also the same Miles that comes out every opening game, bye week, and bowl game with a team that looks great and a great game plan.

We would not have beaten Alabama in 2010 without Lee.
We almost beat Bama in BR in the 2008 OT game.
Lee threw some great passes in that game, just unfortunate he threw a bad one in OT.
Lee was even moving the ball against Bama on Nov. 5 with short passing game. But apparently only Jefferson can throw an INT and expect to stay in the game.

The same can be said about Dinardo. I had inside info back then (worked with one of the recruiter's wives and a former player).
Dinardo game planned/took chances early on and then over time, became more stubborn because he was used to a particular approach being successful. Toward the end his time spent doing actual game planning plummeted. That's what I am seeing here. An old dog getting more and more stubborn.

What a great recap....Best summary of the issues I've seen anywhere:

The reason les has to go for it all the time on 4 th down is his o line can't open holes. His specialty is o line coaching for Christ sake and he is lousy at that. Miles is the most overpayed overrated coach in the NCAA

our quarterback sucked really really really really bad. that won't be an issue for the next four seasons though. good riddance to any player who doesnt want to be a part of the championship team next year.

OK, so for everyone screaming about Miles and what he did wrong, a couple of questions- and please try to give honest and serious answers.
1) During the 1st Alabama game, did you really feel at any time like we were clearly the better team, or did you hope we could keep hanging in there?
2) After that game ended, did you feel like we would spank them in a rematch, or were you just glad as hell we got out of there with a win?
3) During the BCS game, at what point did you decide it "was over"? Not that we were getting our asses kicked, but that the score was insurmountable with the amount of time left in the game?
4) Was there ever a point in that game where our offensive line gave you any hope that they could protect any QB?
My own answers to those questions
1 and 2- I felt every proud of our team for hanging in that game, and wanted no part of Alabama again. We got "scoreboard", but that was about all we got. 99% of the time, that is enough.
3- even down 15-0 with 7 mins to go, I was still desparately praying for a big play. There was still time, and we were only down 2 scores. As bad as things were, a sudden momentum shift could still have swung things our way.
4- I never, ever saw our line give me any hope that we could just go 4 wide and have any chance. Ever. That big play we needed would have to had come on a Jefferson escape/scramble and bomb to Randle.
It didn't happen. I don't question Les for keeping Jefferson in as long as the game was still even remotely in reach (and granted, it seemed pretty remote even at 6-0). Les said going in, and after the game, that Jefferson gave them the only chance against Bama's defense. If that is the case and what he believed, then Les was trying to win the game and not giving up on his team, his players, and not incidentally, a 2 million dollar raise.
At 21-0 he could have given Lee the chance to play, or not. It wouldn't matter either way in the outcome. Maybe some might call it stubbornness, but maybe Les felt like the fan base had been way too hostile to one of his starters, and he wasn't going to bench him to hear a bunch of derisive cheers. For those that said he didn't give Lee any respect, he kept the guy who set records for pick-sixes on the team, and let him play ahead of a touted newcomer this season.

Miles might not be able to evaluate QB tallent...
Let's see where Jefferson gets drafted..

Lee is the better passer(and it's not close) and therefore the best "option" if your running game is grounded. Lee connected on far more big passes in the teeth of an allout pass rush in his career than did JJ; this in spite of playing less than JJ. There is no excuse for not having given Lee a chance. JJ was laying ostrich eggs from the first series. Chunking the ball was the only viable option to getting the offense going and you stuck with the worst passer from your three available QB's. All but one of the sacks JJ took were from holding the ball too long; again, something Lee is not prone too. The reasons go on and on. Lee should have played.

RG3 is way better than JJ, but they fit the same style of play. Luck is way better than Lee, but again the same style of play. Unfortunately for us, we had JJ and Lee, not RG3 and Luck.
Les probably would have played RG3 ahead of Luck, because the mobile guy would have more of a chance against Bama's defense than the pocket guy.
edit to add- he very well might have played JJ ahead of Luck, too- for that same reason. Felt JJ running for his life might have a better chance to make a play than even a superstar lying glat on his back.
