Why Les felt like he owed JJ...

In Lee's freshman year, he began the season with Hatch as the co/ starter for LSU. JJ was not even a thought. 3 star riding the bench.
Hatch has injury issues and loses playing time. (eventually transfers). Lee was young and not ready... Pick 6 here we come.
So the fanbase puts pressure on Miles (can we say "hot seat"?). Here comes JJ. LSU succeeds because no one is ready for this freshman's wrecklessness. He helps put away GT in the peach bowl. Miles' job is saved (so he thinks he owes JJ. Something special brewing).
And that my friends is my opinion of how we ended up with Monday night and the way we got there.

Could be that he simply thought JJ was the better QB which is more likely and troubling at the same time.

I think he owes JJ a favor because in the Ole Miss game he blamed the clocking on JJ. It was obviously Les calling for it. So he made a deal with JJ that he would never pull him

Les told y'all the other day why he rolls with JJ: he thinks he's Lee's equal as a passer, with the added bonus of mobility. he thinks Jordan's an overall better QB. that's it. not really much more to it.

Mabe it is as simple as he thought both are average and JJ's mobility its better to have an average moble guy than a average non moble guy.
Both are completely average to below average QB's at best thats the problem!! Hopefully ZM is as good as advertised!!

And Lee bailed out JJ in the Florida, Tenn, and Mcneese (LOL) games last year while JJ was stinking up the joint.
Whatever favors you think Miles owed JJ went out the window once he engaged in criminal behavior IMO. Actually they went out the window when Lee started bailing out JJ last year and when he took command of the team this year.
If anything he owes Lee something

Especially looking at all the howlers JJ committed over the years, and the consistently poor throws to his receivers over the four years.

Pretty much
There may be some kinda feeling like he owed him mentality too, but thats the main thing. And shite that's even more worrisome honestly

I am glad they are both gone. It will be refreshing to have new qb's. Saban would not have won with JJ and our game plan on offence.

Which makes not throwing ZM out there even more troubling. If ZM can't even throw a decent pass, better then an a-hole throwing for 15 net yards...then we are in serious shite.

Les Miles told several booster groups in the Fall of 2008 upon introducing Jordan Jefferson that he would play significant minutes & significant snaps for us that same year.

Lee got caught in bed with his wife and his daughter. Why you think he was skipping classes for? He messed his own self.
