Gonzales was a waste of coaching pay the past few years. I think he did a fairly poor job of teaching our receiving corps how to get to open space. Especially when guarded by talented defensive backfields.

i strongly disagree.

With how good our passing game is, I dont see how we want to keep the passing game coordinator.

WR coaches are a dime a dozen. I honestly believe we only brought him on for insight into defending the Florida spread and MSU spread attacks since he coached under Mullen and Meyer.

We needed someone with connections in Florida, at the time, since Earl Lane had moved on.

He was thought to be a pretty big-time recruiter.

A student with only C- potential cannot be transformed into a Rhodes Scholar by even the best teacher. So even if Gonzales was the best out there, our passing game was inherently capped.

Replace him with Adam Henry. NOW!

Would be a slam dunk hire. He could coach WR's and TE's. Hire Ben Wilkerson to take over the OLINE. That would add two young dynamic coaches with the ability to teach and recruit.

"Patrick Miller and Avery Johnson are the 2 Florida and Billy G recruits in the #LSU class. Should be fine w both. Avery said he's still in."

What about somebody from the state of Texas to help with recruiting. I think Darrell Waytt (UT Co-Recruiting coordinator/Wide Receivers coach would be good for LSU.

Imagine that, the passing game coordinator is leaving for the greener pastures of Illinois after the BCS debacle. Pretty bad when Illinois in the Big 10 is more appealing for a passing coach than the BCS runner-up.
