how many teams sit for 4 years watching a quaterback come back after every blunder to be completely redeemed by the coaching staff and booed by fans. im just happy to see these days coming to an end. JL and JJ had an accumulated total career yards pretty much equal to some quarterbacks single seasons. how we've managed to be a top competing team without a productive quarterback still blows my mind

It's been absolutely draining. If LSU don't fix this QB situation by next year I will back off viewing considerably. Probably just listen on radio until it's fixed.

Terrible, inept coaching. At least that is what the Rant is telling me.

Blame this on Gary Crowton too. That was some real good play calling last night and it is plain to see how much JJ has improved from last year.

According to a few on this board, it's because Saban was our coach 10 years ago.

Ive never seen four straight years of epic bad qb play at an elite school before. I mean, isnt that why they practice and recruit? Make the guy better, or find someone better. No excuse for four years of this.

We had the top rated SEC QB for 8 games this year

We cn no longer lump the 2 QBs together

It should have only been a two year issue, but RP happened.

Or, it could have been 10 years of solid quarterbacking with stable QB progression, but again...RP happened

13-0 for the first time in school history and beating 3 top 5 teams, 8 ranked teams (only one of which wasn't in the top 20), beating the Rose Bowl and Orange Bowl Champs all in one season is hardly garbage.

Damn fans

I actually do blame JJ's poor QB development and lack of confidence on Crowton. 4 years under Krag - different QB...

need evidence: see what happened to Maryland's great QB this year..

maybe not TOTAL garbage but isnt the 13-0, bowl victories, and success my point? idk how we did it with JJ and JL. IMO miles cant differentiate whats best for the team rather than for the players "senior status"

4 years of total garbage? No. This (thankfully over) QB controversy overshadowed many positives.

besides how much of the rant has been clouded by arguements over who gets playing time...JJ or JL...

I think JL finished just behind JJ in TD's and yards. But what is interesting is JJ had to pass JL up in the last few games. I guess Les did not have a want for JL to have better career numbers with less playing time. Les try to stack the statistics in JJ's favor. I can't find the career numbers so feel free to post them and not the date JJ passes JL. JL would have gotten to play more if JJ could have produced more passing TD's. IMO.
