I honestly believe the players were not interested in a rematch. I think many of their comments after the first game reflected these sentiments as well. It is almost as if they felt they were not given a different challenge for the NCG and it showed. They came out flat and it was over early. Bama had the challenge. LSU didn't.

Well I said this OVER and OVER that the rematch favored BAMA. All the in the playoffs you play twice is invalid. Why? Because you go ice cold from a 6 week BREAK!

YES I am still MAD

The players had nothing to prove, beating bama last night would've been icing on the cake.

Just look at when they said "WE READY!" it was hardly excitement.

For whatever reason, this team DID NOT want to be out there last night. I don't know why, I can't fathom why with the crystal football sitting right there, but they did not.

Just look at what you saw in the first ...oh..5 minutes. Mo Claiborne gets the kick off, and takes it the absolute slowest I've ever seen him take it and gets NAILED on the return. The players don't get into it, they dont help Mo up and give Bama looks...they walk off the field. WALKED. When have you ever seen this team walk?!

Then...punt return yards all year...6. 6, and that is INCLUDING PLAYING THIS ALABAMA TEAM AT HOME. First punt, Maze gets it and nearly breaks the damn thing wide open.

TELL ME this team wanted to play in this game. TELL me they had it. They didn't.

Yep. Lost after the SECC.

Georgia gave the blueprint on how to play Jefferson. Bama applied better coaching and talent.

Kind of funny, BCS Commissioner saying that a playoff would "jeopardize" the regular season..??

So what was the point of LSU beating BAMA the first time?

I think what's even sillier is now BAMA is #1 and LSU is #2...I understand why the players came out flat!! WTF was the point?

I was more upset after Bamako was named our opponent than I was last. Bama had more at stake.

I would disagree somewhat. I think they won that first game and knew they had been in a fight. I don't think they wanted any part of round 2.

Watching JJ in the first quarter it was pretty clear that he was nervous, scared, etc. He wanted no part of running the ball.

It's easier said then done...being mentally motivated to beat the same team you've already beaten is a frustrating road to take...The players proved there worth during the regular season..

After rewatching the game, this was the number one thing I took away from it.

Bama had a chip on their shoulder. We were complacent.

The ATL

YES. No one with LSU TRULY wanted to play this game. Not the fans, not the players, not the coaches. Stop putting up your internet persona ego and admit it.

That is why they beat our asses. Alabama 2011 is NOT 21 points better than LSU 2011.

We had everything to lose and they had everything to gain. We never stood a shot and we knew it since ESPN was pushing for the rematch.

I don't think the players wanted to play Bama. And unless you were listening to different people than I was, not many if any fans wanted to play Bama again.

What are you talking about?
