Last night's game was the end of the Jefferson/Lee era at LSU. As I sat in the Dome last night feeling butthurt, I am excited about moving on. These last 4 years have been too unsettled from the QB position. Not saying if Mett, Rivers, or Keil will be the solution, just glad to move on.

Don't be surprised if this continues next year. Miles loves him a QB that can "run"

True, but it's the coach's responsibility. New faces won't mean anything if the "system" is flawed.

There'll be plenty of new controversies next year but this QB thing has just drained the life out of me - tried to stay positive about it and didn't want to badmouth any players but it's been difficult. LOL

In fairness, not all "running" QBs are equal.

This. Randall >>>>>>>> JJ when it comes to running (at least from what I've seen).

No such thing. The first nine games this year were all Lee. The last five were all Jefferson.

Flynn did well in "LSU's" offense. We dont need 500yds and 6 tds to win. If jj had went for 190yds and a td we would have been in that game.

And that is absolutely the best thing about this situation. Hopefully lots of lessons have been learned by Miles and Co.

Let's move on......hopefully with ONE QB .....

I'm hoping this game, as well as how Les has botched handling the QB situation the last four years, will make Les sit back and take stock of how he handles things going forward.

I still feel Les is a good coach but he has his moments that leave you scratching your head or hacked off.

To learn, you must be willing to listen.
I am not sure Miles has that ability.

Hope he realizes that his job is ultimately being scrutinized , maybe he will work for his money next year instead of coming up with this lame game plan.

If 21-0 on a national stage embarrassment doesn't do it nothing will.

I too believe CLM is a good coach but after his continued flubs over the years (remember time management at Ole Miss? remember the late substitutions/time management against Tennessee? remember yesterday's game plan?), if CLM were to leave for some reason, I would wish him the best of luck. I wouldn't try to stop him from leaving. I just don't care if he is here or not.

I agree.

I blame this whole JJ/JLee mess on Ryan Perrilloux!

"mishandling" QB's has been an LSU tradition. Woodley/Ensminger, Broussard/Trimble, Jones/Lyons, Booty/Davey, to name only a few. It is the one argument that seems to divide the fan base more than any other. I am anxious to move on to the next "controversy". Things change, things remain the same.

And so...it begins.

Step 2, call for Mettenberger to be benched. Over/under on when this happens?
