I have never been a Jefferson Fan. But it is unfortunate that he will be remembered for this game. although he was a subpar quarterback, he did start for the Tigers for three and a half years. it is not his fault that Miles chose to leave him in the game to continue stinking it up. I am sure that at some point, even Jefferson would have preferred the bench. He will forever be remembered as the quarterback who could not even get 100 yards of offense in the national championship game of 2012. That is his legacy, thanks to miles.

I feel for him, too. But he had many opportunities. He was too tentative, too weak, and too unprepared.

Some of that's coaching, a lot is on him.

I don't feel sorry for him at all. He's a grown man, so he'll have to live with it.

I do to. His coach set him up for failure. JJ had strengths, but Miles just saw too much in him. Both QB's could have been used with some effectiveness I believe, but in the end both are basically destroyed.

It's the coaches fault.

Why? He's a senior and he should have done better.

I want to feel sorry for him but he continues to sound like a spoiled child everytime he fricks up. I'm glad he's done here.

Me too. Miles, in sticking with JJ so much, actually probably fricked him over more than anything. The coddling early combined with the utter dependence late in his career were terrible for him, no doubt.

The only reason i dont feel for him is, because he doesnt think any of the blame ,ever."He was seeing the game clearly" Hell maybe i wasnt. Im glad he is gone.

Yep. For his own sake he should have been pulled. The whole offense played bad even though the defense played well they still couldnt get off the field on 3rd downs and seemed flat. However none of that is going to get any critique because the one glaring thing is why not make a change at qb? (which there should have been) Everyone will remember this game as wanting to go to anyone but JJ and he wont have a shot to redeem it. Its like Lee's career ending after the 08 bama game.

He will forever be the QB that f'd around and got arrested the week before the season opener, SOMEHOW was given the sole starter position back, and then played worse than any QB in anyone's memory in the biggest game of his life.

If he weren't such a douche, complaining and harping on his teammate's imperfections then I might would feel sorry for him.

He is an a-hole though. I wouldn't worry about him. His life is still better than most.

It was typical. Be happy its over.

Agree. Miles created this situation and left JJ to live up to something he wasn't capable of doing.

JJ has one of the best w/l records in Tigah history. He is not an NFL player, had attitude problems and thought he was superman too much but he was the best we had. Gotta go with what we have to win games. Unlikely lee would have gotten the job done.

Great Season though.
