Is it possible for Les and company to throw a pass instead of optioning or keeping the ball when the option is ran.

Yes, RP did it vs VT in 07 iirc. Jordan takes too long to get his feet under him to do it though, IMO

Yep, and it works well if used at the right time. Tyler Watts had several TD passes using the option pass, and he couldn't pass

Its possible but JJ would have to give it away sooner than most option qbs, that, coupled with the fact that the Alabama defense is as disciplined as ours it probably won't be attempted.

agreed...it takes a damn fast set up and delivery once the defense is focused on the qb...

JJ has done it twice this yr and looked good doing it. Slant to RR or flyer....both effective at loosening up the defense

We need to run an option to the left with Ware on 2nd and 1 and let him throw it to Shep on a crossing route! (Ware is left handed)
