Most overrated Louisiana food

I actually agree with both. I've had some great jambalaya, but it's not nearly on par with most other traditional LA foods.

I love me some king cake so I cant agree with you on that but with jambalaya I agree 100 percent. I was just never impressed with it and it is the last thing I want to cook.

If you think jambalaya is overrated, you haven't had good jambalaya. Probably just that new orleans style "red" jambalaya.

As someone not from Louisiana, I'd have to agree with this. A close second would be king cake. Not to say both aren't good, but they're nothing special.

New Orleans Gumbo and Jambalaya
Shrimp Creole as well all suck.
A well made cajun gumbo or jambalaya is great imo though.
