Are people still whining about Verne pro-Bama when he said "o no!" after int?

I rewatched the LSU-Bama game again in anticipation for Monday. Do people still really think the announcers are pro-Bama, based on a few things they said during the game, especially the "O NO!" that Verne said after they realized LSU picked off the trick play pass near the end zone?

I remember everyone pointing to that and it being solid proof that Verne was pro Bama, and he was upset after the interception. Do people still think this, a few months after, after everyone has calmed down?

Anyone with any sort of listening comprehension skills can realize that he was just comentating on the game; not some silly bias.

RA: SEC Boad?

Is this really what you have to talk about a week before the game? Drama queen much?

My read on that play was that Verne was blind as usual and started to call a catch for the Bama player then "Oh Noo" realizing he is too blind and slow to still call games.

Is there really anything new that can be said about the matchup at this point? Most everything ws said leading up to the first game. Then we talked about the rematch for a week. Nothing left to do, but play.

I'm just curious if people calmed down and came to their senses by now.

I've come to realize this. Their hatred for them blinds their common sense.

But he sounded awfully disappointed.

He wasn't saying Oh No! because he was upset. He said it because he was calling it a catch and then saw that Reid had it and said O No, it's a catch. he was excited because it was a big offensive play in a game without many, that turned into a huge turnover.

People read way too much into that.

i watched it several times and i came away with Verne saying "Oh no" as in "Oh no, i was wrong. he didn't catch it."

Yes, he did. He followed up the "oh, no" with "i thought sure...". Then they had to cut his mic because he began sobbing uncontrollably.

Really I don't care who they pull for. They're supposed to at least sound unbiased, but Verne does not.

I took it as a "oh no, the Chance of the first/only touchdown is over" type of thing...

What's wrong with saying he thought for sure it was a catch? Every single person watching that game live thought it was a Bama catch.

he said "oh no, I thought for sure that was a completion" or something like that and then said it was a great defensive play. Rantards gonna rant. I agree he sucks, but he said oh no because he was wrong and then once it was signaled an INT he said it was a great play.

Nothing wrong with what he said, it's how he said it. There were many times during the season when it seemed to me that he was disappointed after we made a play.

P.S. I never whined about it.
