Xbox add on Hard Drive?

Can you use any old usb hd? or does it have to be an xbox drive?

Im pretty sure it has to be a specific drive. You can hack it somehow, but if you are talking under normal plug and play conditions everything I saw said they were specific.

USB-Compatibility
plug in your flash drive and format the drive using the option provided in the storage section. I think 16g is all that it will recognize. I may be wrong. In the link I think it also provides compatibility for external usb hard drives.
