I have on that says 8G..Is that a size?

I need a bigger one.

I cooked a Trout Courtbuiilion today and had to use an oblong black pot. Sucked.

Anyone know the standard sizes?

Just got one on E-Bay...shipping included $33.

Said it weighs 30 pounds so its got to be at least 10 quart which is perfect.

If they lied on the ad paypal will give me my money back...

Now I can easily cook 3 quarts of fillets.

I have a 16 quart and it is about 15" across. I'm sure you could cook a bunch of fillets in it.

I want to end up getting a little bigger dutch oven. The black iron I have is nice but it's kinda small.
I got a skillet for Christmas I need to season.

I have a 16qt that is well over 60 years old that was one of my grandmothers. It weights around 30 lbs and is an easy 3/8" thick.

Side note* It is off hands for my wife to use or anyone else! JUST ME!

You must wait until the very end to put in trout filets. Seems like they fall apart too easily for courtbouillion. I always use redfis or goujon for mine, b/c they hold together better.

Made some the other day with shrimp and goujon, and it was outstanding. Of course, no one in my house would eat it except me.

All I had in the freezer.
Used all my Bass and Redfish last month.

Of all the food cooked for Christmas the Courtboullion was devoured.

I made enough to feed 20 people and all the gravy was gone.

Went ahead and bought the huge one that weighs 45 pounds.
I honestly don't know how they can ship it to me for that price. But we will see.

A lot of the time they assign an arbitrary amount to shipping. They're eating money on shipping technically, but the pot probably cost them next to nothing. The total you pay is price plus shipping, but not necessarily broken up like they say it is.
