Recruits At Bash

Obviously, most recruits are at their schools on Signing Day. But I don't ever remember seeing an Early Entry recruit at the Bash? Is there a reason why they could not make an appearance?

Probably because they all have school that day.

I thought of that, but the band comes at the end of the day when the coaches and their families arrive.
I would think that some of the players could come as well unless there is some rule against it.

Didn't Rick Clausen show up as an early enrollee? I think Miles discourages in general current players from being at the bash. Full of liquored up boosters that idolize the players, not a good combination!

Current players are allowed to be there if they pay the ticket price. Signees are not, or they may just be strongly discouraged to attend by the coaching staff. I forget what exactly it is. Im good friends with one of the guys that help run the bash. I remember when Jai showed up, the coaching staff was furious. For whatever reasons...

Chad Jones showed up briefly toward the end the year he signed with his Dad.
We saw him standing outside by the doors wearing his HS letterman jacket with his Dad. Didn't see Alem there, but that might have been part of the reason he decided to go.
He and his Dad both looked a little uncomfortable, kind of like they weren't sure if they should be there or where they should go
