We'll most likely play Atlanta twice in the next 3 weeks, then if we win the second time, we go way out west to play a well-rested SF, and if we win that one, way up north with the task of taking out GB in January, when we couldn't do it in September.

Oof.

Let's root for Chicago in the late game today then... will keep Atlanta out if Atlanta loses the next two and Chicago wins them.

just gotta beat whoever lines up across from them ... Saints have no one but themselves to blame for losing to the Rams and Buccaneers.

We could also blowout Atlanta in the Superdome twice in a matter of a few weeks, and travel to SF and whip up on a team in SF who hasn't been tested by a good offense, and then host the Giants/Lions winner after they beat Green Bay...

If the Saints win one of the last two they are pretty much locked into playing Atlanta or Detroit at home in round 1

true. terrible playcalling aginst the bucs and we did not even show up againt the rams. we should have just one loss and have the #2 spot wrapped up.

Basically

I think there's a chance Chicago could sneak in if they win out, but the odds of that happening are pretty slim.

agree but i do not want to make a west coast trip especially being tired

We wouldn't have to travel to SF until the 2nd round anyway, after a playoff game. Not like you can rest...

the only way we play the lions is if the falcons win out

if the falcons lose out and chicago drops at least one, we still play the falcons

That and the Falcons aren't losing to the Bucs the final game of the season. The Bucs are playing the worst football in the NFL lately.

meh. You use the same philosophy as LSU playing Bama twice as the saints playing the birds 3 times. law of averages would not favor us. in this division anything can happen a 3rd time. see 1991 when we beat the falcons twice only to lose in the playoffs. of course we split with the rams in 2000 and beat them in the playoffs. either way it is a crap shoot playing a hated division rival 3 times.
