Troy Polamalu was all over the field last night, and I started focusing on just him. He and Tyrann have the same knack of always being around the ball, excellent closing speed and very opportunistic. Tyrann will have to put on another 25 lbs but I could see him being a safety at the next level. Hopefully he stays the next 2 years though..

Yeah Ed Reed is great as well, but Polamalu always has that "presence" on the field..just seems to be in on every play..

Except TroyP is about 30-35 lbs heavier and has 3-4 inches on TM7. There aren't many safeties or cornerbacks as small as TM7. If anyone that size can make it, it'll be TM7. I've never seen someone his size be such a game changer on defense. Hell before his suspension he was tied for the lead in SEC in tackles. His football iq has to be off the charts. I know everyone, his whole life, has told him he is too small. He has proven all of them wrong

same height, though Polamalu is 205, that's why I figure TM will need to add 20-25 lbs over the next (hopefully) 2 seasons..

Mathieu listed as 5'10", 175

(one has TM listed as 5'9")

There's no way those two are the same height.

i think tyrann is 5-8 at best and probaby 170 lbs at most

*ETA: i also don't know if he runs a sub 4.4 like polamalu or bob sanders

Maybe Polamalu's hair makes him look larger than he actually is

Tyrann is the next whatever he wants to be. He has the skillz to be the next Nick Manning or the next Ed Reed.

Comparing people will only get you so far until people will start getting compared to him.

Actually a pretty good comparison, if he can bulk up.

The NFL and college are starting to make a push towards bigger and more physical DB's... Tharold Simon fits the mold perfectly in my opinion. Hopefully he stays his last two years.

Yeah your right about the height. For some reason I thought TM7 was 5'8.

As a huge fan of both teams, I can easily say they are actually nothing alike.
