Congratulations to Amite High School's Juwaan Rogers..... named to Class 3- A All-State Football Team Defense and named Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year.
I wish LSU would take a chance on this kid he was very impressive in the dome. Looks like Ar-Kansas is going to sneak another one out of Amite.

Good player but the group we have can't be questioned aside from Granier and his offer and commitment were too long ago to back out of at this point and would be the complete wrong choice for our coaches to make. We need to honor our word to Granier like he has us. If he doesn't work out he can be placed on medical later.He deserves his free education from LSU.

He's someone I was high on for the 2011 class, but thought he signed with OSU. He didn't make the grades to get in and was at a Virginia prep school. Since that is your area, I was wondering if you had heard anything regarding him and LSU again.

Yeah would like to seem him het an LSU offer but from what I see is lateral movement is preventing him from a lot of offers...good luck to him wherever....and Geaux Warriors

I am from Amite, and I can say that there has never been an Amite HS player make it, or much less play, for LSU. I hope Rogers gets a shot, but I dont think LSU will go after him.

Im not saying that no AMite player has ever not made the team, just saying that no Amite player has legitimately played a big role for the Tigers. I dont recall, did Buckles play a lot for LSU? There was that QB that was on the roster a while back as well and Rusty Barrilloux.
I do remember Demetrius Hookfin playing a lot, but he is a Kangaroo and of course Toefield from Indy.
