Anyone tried the Jack Daniels Honey Bourbon? How does it compare to the Wild turkey and Jim Beam versions? I have tried it both with sips and mixes lookin for other opinions.

I had a shot of the honey jack daniels one night at a bar. It was so good, i ordered 2 more. I am not normally a shot guy, but someone else bought it. It was served chilled and was quite tasty. Havent tried the others.

wow, so much fail up in there. shite is fricking nasty.

Jack Daniels BOURBON?! lolz. JD is a Tennessee Whiskey. and a pretty shitty one at that.

and nobody should ever frick up good whiskey by adding honey to it unless it's on the stove to help with a cold.

I've tried them all and the JD honey is by far my favorite.... I am a little partial to JD though.. I guess it all depends which whiskey you prefer. I just have a hard time with it being only 70 proof...

I've only tried the Wild Turkey one, and it was terrible.

Jack Daniels is indeed a bourbon. It is also a Tennessee Whiskey.

And FWIW, I think the JD Honey is good for passing around a fire and swigging or for mixing in hot toddies.

The Wild Turkey honey is pretty awful. Some ended up in my car after tailgating last season and still about 1/4 of a bottle left. I'll put a splash in a drink just get rid of it but if I have a half decent bourbon or whiskey I will not taint it with the honey bourbon.

Yeah, get technical all you want. Even the company distinguishes themselves from straight bourbon. Filtering through sugar maple charcoal

Yep, either he or Steph brought it. I tried splashing it in with Makers, talk about overload on sweet when mixed with coke.

sounds like a terrible idea. I remember trying that crap he brought. tasted like cough syrup with a splash of alcohol. just have no idea why anyone would spend money on flavored whiskey over the good stuff. hell, just buy some Old Charter and put some local honey in it!

Left over from my booze pinata is a airline bottle of Jim Beam Red Stag. I would think this would be better than honey. Cherry coke and cheap whiskey is a solid combo but I'm also afraid that the flavoring will be kind of off.

It worked out quite well. Filled full of leftover halloween candy and the airline bottles purchased at Spec's.

I've tried the JD and the Wild Turkey. IMO the JD was much better. There was a liquor rep at a bar one night whose company distributed Eild Turkey. He bought me and a few friends a couple of shots of the Honey and gave us a t-shirt. I never complain over free drinks, but would not pay for it otherwise.

The JD is better, and not a bad shot when it's cold outside. Or put some in coffee.

To Rohan...what do you think Mead is made of? I guess the vikings that drank that were pu$$ies?
