I think I should have maybe asked for opinions first but I ordered one anyway. Anybody have one? Any good? From what I see and the write up on it gives me wood. How about you?

My buddy just bought one, cooked on it last night, brisket came out fine but meat had a diffferent texture on outside than a conventional smoker. Seems to be a good cooker but we will need more "testing" if you know what I mean. His wife will be thrilled about this.

Im gonna try some ribs first or maybe a turkey. Did you use some wood chips? I use hickory almost always.

He used hickory on some pork ribs earlier in the week that came out with a strong smoke flavor which I liked but he thought was too strong. He ate them right off the pit and I ate them a few days later so that may have made a difference. I wasn't there so not sure how much he used. Best I can tell the unit prob keeps a lot of the smoke inside chamber so I would start out light on the smoke until I did it a few times to see how much flavor the wood gives off on this cooker.
