I couldn't find it anywhere in the regs. If I bring my 4yr old fishing can I catch his limit of specks too? I should probably not have to ask this question but was just curious.

make sure he has his snoopy pole!

FWIW: on a hunt when I was 8 we had 3 people and killed 3 bucks, the GW stopped us and made me shoot my rifle to make sure I could actually kill a deer. Proved him wrong

But you don't need a license to fish if you're under like 16 or something like that? Maybe 18? One of those.

That is what i am getting at. All the regs deal with licensed fisherman. You don't have to have a license until 16 but it doesn't say if you can have your own possession limit under age 16 while fishing with licensed persons.

In a boat with three or four adults plus kids it really doesn't matter because rarely have i ever been at the point of maxing the limits when fishing with multiple persons. I just don't want to show up at the landing with 50 trout and it is just me and the 4yr old and run into any problems with Mr. Green jeans

Its ok!

Your kids get to catch a limit, even if they aren't licensed.......
I would hope you don't bring one you have to change diapers on but..........

Legally, no.

I understand practically you might get away with it.

True. Do you know what happens if you take friends fishing and they aren't licensed? Does the captain get ticketed also?

I would think just the unlicensed individuals get ticketed. Would they take the fish?

I am not sure on that one. i did have a scare like that when i was around 19. We were fishing at night and got boarded and one of my friends had no license. luckily he was sitting on the bow smoking a cig, had no rod in his hand and we were under the two man limit for us with licenses. They hassled us but ended up leaving without any tickets.
