This dude just said on ESPN this morning that he stakes his reputation to Bama winning the MNC this year.

I'm so sick of this dude.

Can't wait for someone (hopefully us) to call him out on this after we win!

the dude pisses me off. he won't get off his shite.

i'm sure herbie will YET AGAIN pick bama as well.

just as annoying is ESPN not even mentioning Les Miles as coach of the year.

LINK

What the crap is that? Spurrier coach of the year because he had to kick his qb off the team?

He thinks THEY HAD DISTRACTIONS? No one had the distractions LSU faced this year and the schedule LSU faced. and LSU went Undefeated with an SEC championship. The Bama bias is ridiculous.

Another ESPN dude, his name is escaping me at the moment (Mel Kiper's arch nemesis when it comes to NFL draft) said that Saban will once again outcoach Miles, but LSU is too deep and will win it based on athleticism... WTF? Saban had a coaching meltdown this year, how can he outcoach Miles again???

At least he didn't offer anything of value.

Yes, but that's not the part that bothers me, because frankly I knew who he would pick. The stuff that gets me is he goes onto say that he "stakes his reputation on Bama winning". As if that's not already enough of a douchebag thing to say, it's not like anyone is going to call him out on it after we pound that arse.

And that's when we rise up and call his arse out!

With him saying that, does that mean that he resigns after we win because he basically stated that he no longer has any credibility as an announcer?

Outside of Bama and Meatchicken - everyone thinks Smith is a dickhead of monsterous proportions. I would like to see him try that saying that shite with Corso in the room. Corso would jack that mutherfricker up.

Let me make sure I understand this. Robert Smith is staking his reputation for a being a dill hole on a bama win.

That's funny, according to ESPN Bama should have WAY more talent than LSU. Let's look at the recruiting rankings on ESPNU

2008: Bama 3, LSU out of top 10
2009: LSU 1, Bama 2
2010: Bama 3, LSU 8
2011: Bams 2, LSU 10

Robert Smith is like a degenerate gambler, he mad because he has hated on LSU all year, he is just doubling down.

That's why I have so little respect for the "experts". They say Miles isn't really a good coach, he just wins with superior talent. Yet LSU's recruiting rankings are usually lower than Bama, Florida, USC, Oklahoma, Ohio State, etc.

This is something you'd expect out of an Alabama alumni or fan. How ESPN lets him get away with this is disgraceful in itself.
