So I have these 4 Remington shotgun chokes and I'm new to duck hunting and confused what exactly each brought to the table.
I have the Remington:
1.probore wingmaster HD Turkey/Predator master
2.probore pass shooting
3.probore over decoys
4.probore flooded timber
Any help would be appreciated

Not 100% sure but guessing by the name of the chokes I would say
1 full
2 improved cylinder
3 & 4 modified with 4 bring a tighter pattern than 3

My guess would be that the choke would get tighter as the number went down. Are there knotches in the top of the chokes?

sure is, never noticed
they are .004, .009, .014 and the other has no cut outs at the end of the choke itself, its just completly round

You know, I just googled those chokes, and I really can't believe they have to name them something other than the standard names. That's pretty stupid. Especially considering that the one model comes with choke tubes with the standard names.
Turkey is a no brainer. Its obvious that's full as possible. Maybe an Improved Full?
Decoying ducks on open water gives you some pretty far shots. Maybe that's slighter more open? Maybe a Full?
Pass shooting next? Modified?
Flooded timber the most open? Its pretty tight shooting quarters. Improved Cylinder?
Its just a guess.

The numbers you see probably refer to the amount of constriction that each provides (the extent to which the nominal inside diameter of the barrel is reduced).
The .004" constriction is generally considered to be a "skeet" choke (good out to ~25-30 yards)
The .009" is considered to be Improved Cylinder (IC). (good out to ~30-40 yards)
The .014" constriction would correspond to a light mod choke. (good out to maybe 40-45 yards).
Your fourth choke could be (probably is) a "cylinder" choke (zero constriction). Good out to ~20 yards).
It's really simple to set up targets (brown paper or butcher's paper) at a distance of 20-25 yards and shoot them with the various chokes. You'll quickly see/confirm which provides the denser patterns, and you'll (more importantly) have a better feel for the actual pattern sizes.
Be sure and do this with the shells you'll be hunting with -- different shells/loads will pattern differently in the same choke.

The only problem I can see with those restriction numbers is that there is no way one of them is a turkey choke.

Good point -- unless the unmarked one is the turkey choke ?? 'Cause after further thought, a cylinder choke is probably the least useful for most hunters.
I have never owned any Remington chokes, and have no idea of the "logic" behind their labeling system.
Almost everyone I shoot with uses Briley chokes -- a few shoot their factory (Beretta, Benelli) chokes.

Yeah, I suppose the unmarked one could be the turkey one...but that leaves a pretty big gap in choke coverage.
Those names are nuts.
