Inaguaration day is the same day as the BCS game. Which legislator gets two from LSU? The legislator that is sitting now or the one that will take office around noon on the 9th. You know the the ones that got defeated or retiring are demanding tickets and the ones taking their place are also demanding tickets. That will cut down on the number given to season ticket holders

I didn't think they were allowed to take shite like tickets anymore according to Bobby's new little plan to end gov't persuasion. I could be wrong.

LSU allows each legislator to buy two tickets. That was not taken away in Payush's ethics reform

All of them will get tickets. Just like when people get tickets for the Championship who never been to an LSU game in their life, yet there are season ticket holders who have had tickets for over 30 or 40 years, and won't get any!

The current leges get 2 from LSU, they pay face. The order was due the same time as regular LSU postseason order.

These creeps and charlatans getting tickets is extremely offensive.....as a season ticket holder, I don't care if another season ticket holder who has given more is able to get seats, but there is no reason LSU has to give to these bastards. They already steal enough as it is. If these people truly want to go to the game I'm sure they have more than enough connections that they are able to get seats. It's even more of an insult given that not even a cent of state money is used for LSU athletics....meaning the whole damn show is subsidized by the ticket payer/donors.

I had to buy my two tickets, we did not get free tickets since the early '80's. They were free way back in the '50's/60's, since the '58 era, not now.

I'm not sure anyone said the legislators were given free tickets, but still it's BS that they are able to purchase from LSU's allotment, where tickets should be going to the faculty, students, season ticket holders, donors.

I would also love to know how many of the politicians actually end up going to the game.....I bet quite a few from this allotment end up on stubhub/ebay.

No, if I couln't go, there were always fellow Senators that needed more than 2 tickets that called and offered to buy our 2 tickets. Some Senators couldn't go to every game and helped friend Senators buy 2 extras. We had a baby one year and couldn't go to every game with a newborn.

There are 105 Reps and 39 Senators. So at the absolute most that's 288 seats going to legislators. Also, to get tickets through LSU you had to have donated at least $10K this year; I'm not crying a river for the next 144 people in line who "only" donated like $8,000 to an athletics department.

Plus, the less time the legislators are in Baton Rouge making policy the less they're fricking up the state. I'll send them to Bermuda for a month if it means less dumbass laws.
