What a wonderful day it is. Take away any thoughts of the opponent. Three national title appearances in less than a decade. Twelve straight recruiting classes have played for a national title at LSU.

At one point in my life I was elated for LSU to play in the Independence Bowl.

I just really can't wrap my mind around this program, all that has been accomplished in such a relatively short time.

I'm almost moved to at the magnitude of what has happened to our school.

I just wish my dad was still here to see all of this.

Yeah our fan base has become really spoiled. Instead of taking in how great this season has been some fans have found everything to bitch about.

Who gives a frick who is playing qb?? We are winning.

Who gives a frick if we have to play bama again?? While these other teams were sweating it out, we could have been relaxing and enjoying it instead of bitching.

I just really think the reason there is so much bitching is because most of the bitchers never said Geaux Tigers once before 2003.

If they had lived through the Sol Graves, Chad Loup, pre-senior season Jamie Howard days they wouldn't bitch about quarterback play.

I grew up watching us always fighting to get to the top. But we never really could. I was too young to remember 1958.

We would get excited every year only to get beat by Alabama. Every year the same replay. It finally cost Cholly Mac his job.

Today, we are Bama. Teams get excited to play us, mark their calendars, where white or gold or whatever. We roll in and destroy their dreams. Coaches get fired.

This is the best LSU team of my lifetime.

What a difference from 2007, where our guys were huddled together with fingers crossed during the announcement show - the "Going to the Ship" chant and elation that followed.

This go round our guys got to sit there calmly and wait to see who they'd get to play. They got to wait for Bama to come to them.

I enjoyed it very much.

Moment of Clarity... LSU already beat the number two team, the system sucks so badly you have to do it again.

Exactly. I enjoyed the hell out of winning a SEC championship and then getting to sit and pull for Oklahoma state and Clemson to do exactly what they did. But for once I wasn't pulling for all that to happen to help us because we took care of OUR business and didn't depend on everybody else. But gumps were probably witnessing their worst
nightmare all day sitting back and watching other teams playing for a championship and seeing their worst case scenario happen and they couldn't do shite about it.

This.

We had everything this season. I'm glad you brought this up. I've been an LSU fan for twenty years (since I was 8), and I just realized how spoiled by the success we've become. Your right.

We just had the best season in my lifetime. Who gives a frick who we're playing in January.
