Above scenario only happens when 3-4 other teams choke it away to lesser teams.

Ok St owned OK last night.

Good thing we never lost to ARK or we would be looking at Cotton and AL would, of course, be so much better than LSU that they would head to NOLA.

Think ARK would have gotten a rematch if they beat LSU and GA??

Yep, even when you are Alabama and actually benifit from a home loss that was supposed to end your title run.

LSU will beat any team that faces them in the NCG. Bama asked for LSU they have got them. Lets see what they can do. I'd put my money on Miles & LSU. We just need to let our players to keep their mouths shut and let the gumps talk. When it's over the badger can take a FB to Saban with the inscription #3. This is what you asked for! This is the 5th season for Saban. Keep your eyes on Texas! I would not be surprised if Sexton is talking to them. Saban has probably told him to communicate to Texas not one word of any discussions leaks to interfere or create distractions for his team or he will stay where he is. Lose twice and lose the coach that =meltdown

Unless you're Bama.

In their case, only wins count.

Yep, this has really changed my view that the regular season matters.

why?

all this says is that the 2 best teams happened to be from the same division (which is very, very rare)

LSU 2007? Remember? 48-50 Arkansas...2OT. We won the national championship. Difference is, this year there is another truly deserving team. I don't care who we play. Hell, don't even bother telling us. Just tell one of em to show up in the dome and surprise us. I'm still confident.

Playing a tough SEC schedule, winning the SEC Championship Game, to go play... an SEC team we already beat.

And OK just got used by fricking Baylor and Texas Tech. Get over it people. Bama lost to the best team in the country at home, they will lose again on the road Jan.9

Because it was bullshite when Nebraska made it in 2001, bullshite when OU made it in 2003, and bullshite now. I don't care if we're the best conference and we're the two best teams. Those teams happened to reside in the same division of the same conference and we beat that team. You had your chance, I doubt LSU would be have benefited nearly this much by ESPN's publicity stunt even if our resume was the best in the country, and that's how I'll view it.

We didn't deserve a rematch if we had lost and I said as much before that game. Why would I change my view now to benefit Alabama when I was opposed to it when the possibility was there that it would negatively affect LSU?

then we will beat them again if we keep it up

the frick does LSU have to do with who is the #2 team, other than who is on our schedule?

what we DESERVE is to play in the title game. that's it. we don't deserve any input on our opponent

Should make the future years easier for us... It's nice to know we have some wiggle room to drop a home game.
