Liggins Update..FWIW

Just had lunch with a friend of mine who does videos for potential High School recruits. He has been to Lafayette High twice and is very good friends with Liggins coach. He said that he is all LSU. Miles, according to my friend, is the only coach that is going to give him a shot at QB. All the others are recruiting him as a DE. His coach said he will play anywhere but wants a shot at QB and Miles is the only one to promise him a chance to play quarterback. His description of Liggins is that he is a clone of Jamarcus Russell....as big and as strong an arm.
He said during pregame he was throwing from the 50 to the back of the endzone with little effort.
Like I said this is a very good friend of mine who does over 300 HS football videos a season and has seen Liggins 3 times this year.
So who knows....Now flame away!!

I think ole miss is recruiting him as a qb as well but others like bama are recruiting him as a de or te.

I know everyone is really excited about Kiel, but I'd rather have Liggins.

I see Kiel as an overrated QB prospect who plays in a Catholic league in Indiana.
His highlights are unimpressive to me. It reminds me of Evangel quarterbacks, except he's playing against worse competition.
Give me Alford, who is a flat-out stud, and Liggins and call it a day. Alford is more than likely going the MLB route, but if he doesn't we have an incredible player.

So you guys know more that every recruiting expert who sees hundreds of quarterbacks in person and in camps. This guy is not ranked in the middle of the pack. He is ranked #1. Instead of wasting their time and energy and money actually traveling and watching these kids in person. They should just contact you. Let us know how many times that you actually watched these 2 players in person and watched them play.

I suppose this observation is no more imprecise or unscientific than a lot of recruiting obvservations, but I truly worry about recruIting a kid that has THAT big of a butt while still in High school...

Way too much coffee and not enough sleep...also guy said the only time they use him defense is when they NEED him..but he added that he is a tremendous athlete
