He hasn't visited and has not set up a visit. Hell probably stick to FSU or go OU

And only FSU. Most people understand he most likely was looking for some attention.

The talk of him visiting was during Florida State's three straight losses from 9/17-10/08. They won five straight after that and six out of their last seven games. They probably didn't suck as bad as he thought they might.
Everyone has to remember the great recruiting classes usually come the year after a BCS Championship run. It's great that all of these guys were interested and we still may get some of them. Winning like this is setting up the program for some good years to come.

What would bank-to-back NCs do? It could cause a dent in UTs Junior Day or perhaps let us reach into the SoCal cookie jar.

Bump any new news on this guy! Hopefully yesterday did something to help LSU out.

I bet he doesn't end up at FSU. His dad is indifferent in his pick and he would probably rather have him closer to home. Kid is going to be a 1st round pick no matter what school he goes to.

If he doesn't go to FSU and makes a visit to LSU then I like our chances. OU has been torched recently while our D has looked good

FSU was thought to have fixed everything with Edwards(his dad played a huge role as well but not by pushing him to FSU) but he is still confirmed to be visiting Texas for their big banquet recruiting weekend. Landon Collins was supposed to go bu news broke tonight that he has canceled and Torshiro Davis is going.

True. Defensive linemen shine under Chavis. He'll have fun playing and he'll get plenty of chances to make plays.

Do you think the uncertainty about whether Mack Brown will retire after this season will effect the Longhorns' chances with either Mario Edwards or Jonathan Gray?

Another thing to take into account is that if Mullen leaves MSU to coach at Penn State, MSU may look to Manny Diaz to come back as a head coach, which would leave Texas without a defensive coordinator.
I also think it is Mack's time to retire. His teams have underperformed the last couple of years and it is time to get some fresh blood coaching there.

I just don't see how we can take most of these with only four scholarships left. I guess we'll over sign or gray shirt or whatever.
Is this like a first come first served type thing?

Well, we probably won't get Mario Edwards, and Kiel is still a longshot. We definitely have more people who are casually interested than legitimately interested. We're going to have to wait until next year when the coaches can get on big names early to enjoy a bump in recruiting.
