Hilliard doesn't juke safeties - he runs over their asses.

I thought the rule was that if a player fumbled it and it went forwards out of bounds, then the ball goes back to where he fumbled it.

But I was glad to see I was wrong

Wing's been teaching him Ausie rules football and he forgot where he was and tried to pass the ball forward. No biggie. At least it wasn't recovered by the defense for a touchdown.

That was a really really sloppy drive but we ended up putting it in. That was huge as far as getting the nerves straightened out.

I think he recovered it before it went out of bounds.

It started as a lateral that was fumbled. Possession at the point recovered.

That was the call and it was upheld by replay. Dink and Dunk, errr Verne and Gary, were too worried about a forward pass. Idiots spent the entire replay timeout talking about the refs reviewing the lateral, but they were loooking to make sure he recovered in bounds. If not, it would have gone back to the spot of the fumble and would not have been a first down.

He doesn't fumble and that was a 20 yard gain at least.

You're not wrong. Had Hillard not recovered the ball before it went out of bounds it would have gone back to the spot where he fumbled. No other LSU player could have recovered without the ball going back to the spot of the fumble.

He never had possession on the pitch. He recovered before it went out of bounds.

I think that's why he fumbled, he saw nothing but endzone in front of him and started running before he caught the ball. He probably would have scored if he catches it cleanly.
