Is there no chance of them getting to the NC. Will be 3 in the polls and will play for an acc title with Alabama sitting at home.

There's a chance I supposed, but they would have to be voted #2 over Bama and probably by a sizable margin.

If they win the championship game, then I think there is a possibility of it. However, the public is all on Alabama.

The computer is only 1/3 of the formula. If they are the consensus 2 in the human element they would make it.

There's no chance in hell that they're going to be a unanimous #2 in the human polls, which is what they would need (even that might not be enough). Bama is 3rd in the computers. VT is 7th right now. No. Shot.

They have a comp score of .7842. For comparison, Bama's is.9491

So you can predict the future. Ok. If the voters don't want a rematch, it could happen. Okie St has a better shot. I still don't think the voters will vote for a rematch. They all dont work at Espn.

You think all of the SEC coaches are going to vote against Bama? The problem for VT is that ALL of the voters would have to be against a rematch and vote Bama down, not just most of them. I'm not lsumatt, but just from glancing at the computer scores it looks like it might even take a number of voters dropping Bama out of the top 5 to intentionally prevent a rematch. IMHO the odds of something like that happening are extremely small.

if they beat clemson in the ACC champ game, you could at least make the argument that they avenged their only loss.

they didn't play one bcs team out of conference and their best win is vs 4 loss GT team
