Because apparently beating someone on the field doesn't matter.

Holtz and May just said that Bama is the best team in the country. They CONSTANTLY give them excuses for the loss to LSU.

Apparently not. Even if a team loses a game, they should have really won it, they just made mistakes, etc.

We've had to hear this in damn near all our big games this year.

It's amazing that 50 yard field goals missed by a kicker who makes 22% of his kicks are points left on the field.

if the BCS is supposed to match the 2 best teams in the championship game, then the rematch has to happen. They are easily the best 2 teams at the end of the year.

A playoff this year would only produce the best 2 teams in the country playing for all of the beans. LSU and Bama would be there and I say bring those mother frickers on! LSU beats the Green Bay Packers in the dome if they played tomorrow.

That's because Flynn and Rodgers are going HAM at Bogies all weekend.

i understood that the BCS was created to crown a clear national champion, and in the past that has always been achieved matching 1 vs 2. putting bama in a rematch could potentially muddy the water.

Why are some college football fans so afraid of a true playoff system? If it works for every other sport on goods green earth, why wouldnt it work for college football?

It was sarcasm to prove the point that LSU already beat the gumps and the heads aren't recognizing it.

Then somebody needs to explain to those blowhards and Verne and Gary that that issue has already determined on the field and not in the broadcast booth or in a studio in Bristol, CT. FACT is LSU has done what they needed to achieve against every opponent they have faced. Alabama has not.

Because you 'play' for the playoff and not the season with a playoff. The season IS the payoff....of course, this season is different (they all are).
