Mandel at SI thinks we would play in the MNC no matter what. He thinks we play Bama if we lose and maybe Bama or OK State if we win.

According to Brad Edwards last Sunday..........if LSU were to win convincingly against Arkansas, which we did, and lose by 10 pts or less to Georgia in the SEC championship game the voters would be more forgiving had they not lost to Arkansas.

Also keep in mind that LSU is sooooooooooooo far ahead of Oklahoma St in the computers that it literally doesnt matter what LSU does unless they get blown out by like 30 or 40 pts. Lsu beat two top 5 teams in the current BCS polls. Oke St lost to an unranked Iowa St team. It would be insane to drop LSU below Oke St.

Yeah but an SEC championship is pretty hard to come by (and in a lot of ways is more valuable). You have to be good all season - not just for 1 game.

We need to run the table and take both SEC and NC. To not do it now would be ashamed.

Screw that. While I'll be pissed that the Gumps are able to get there without winning their conference, I don't think for a second they can beat the Tigers. LSU will destroy them in the 'dome. Give Les a month to prepare and he'll outcoach $aban yet again. And you don't think he'll be studying the Georgia Southern film? The Gumps oughta pray they don't make it to the NC game because it has the potential to be a blowout loss.

I agree. I'm just saying it would be much more likely for Boise to win a "national championship" that to win the sec (if they were in the conference).

bullshite. Do you want to hear their whining that they were no. 2 and didn't get a chance to play?

I want to play em and beat em. We'll take them by at least 14 points in a rematch.

Nothing would be sweeter than beating Alabama again and if we lost, the SEC chant sickening the rest of the country would be awesome.

In fact, if LSU and Bama play, they need to get the whole stadium to chant SEC to start the game and give the weaker conferences the finger.
