if LSU gets title this year, then id vote them....

and then next year they should be consensus preseason #1; regardless if they win or lose the title game.

LSU is going to win the title this year, guaranteed. Next year, they have a favorable schedule and a shite ton of talent back and will be on the odds-on favorite to repeat.

LSU is playing against much tougher competition that than Miami on a weekly basis though over their run

To be fair, he has a point. LSU has had this success while playing against far superior teams than DA U.

My next thread is going to comparing Texas from 1971-2011 to Auburn over the same time frame

Miami cheated to do what they did.

If you think LSU isn't cheating in some form or fashion than you must have been born yesterday...it's part of the biz.

Some of you need a history lesson on Miami football in the 80's.

This is not even a freaking debate.

I wouldn't make the comparison

but just saw a stat said LSU has won 6 BCS top ten matchups, more than any other school in that time frame, pretty impressive and this particuliar team is fantastic and probably the best of the run

You just say that due to SEC bias. Check some of Miami's schedules , you will find more than 1. #1 v #2 match up over that time frame.

No one in modern times has had a run like Miami from 86-92.

86 1 loss in bowl by 4 to PSU team that won NC
87 Won NC
88 1 loss by 1 on road to ND team that won NC
89 won NC
90 down year, lost 2 finished #3
91 Won NC
92 Lost in bowl to Bama team that won NC.

They were 2 plays from winning 3 strait NC. As it was 3 NC, 2 #2 finishes and a #3 in 7 years
