Any advice for removing the System Fix virus? I've followed Bleepingcomputer's tutorial, but no success. Should Combofix be run in safe mode? The rKill and Google redirect killer don't seem to work, either. I did make the mistake of emptying my temp files, if that helps. Supposedly, I wasn't supposed to. Any help would be appreciated.

It would help. I'd try running Malware Bytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) first.
If that doesn't work:
1) download Hiren's.
2) Burn the .zip to a cd
3) Put the cd in the disk drive, reboot
4) When the computer restarts, you should a screen similar to this:
5) Choose "mini windows xp" and hit enter
6) You'll then be inside what will appear to be a regular WinXP computer (it's actually just an OS running on the cd, which is pretty neat...). Dig through the start menu/desktop until you find Malware Bytes Anti Malware and run it on C:\ (and any other hard disks, if you have multiple).
Check back here or hopefuldoctd at google's mail system if you have and problems
