Keith Frazier is one of the highest-ranked uncommitted players in the Class of 2013. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Dallas Kimball is the No. 5 shooting according to Rivals. “He can’t sign until April,” Erven “Big D” Davis, Frazier’s mentor told SNY.tv. “He’s in no rush [to make a] decision on what might happen. Five schools are sticking out right now —SMU, LSU, Texas, Texas A&M and Arizona. Frazier visited SMU Nov. 28 for their basketball game with Utah and enjoyed it. “It went well,” Davis said. “The guys played with a lot of energy and got up and down the court.” No additional visits are planned right now, but more will likely come during the season. “We are just in the process of starting to look at his schedule and how it relates to the schedules of the teams he’s interested in,” David said. “He will to try to set up officials with some of these schools. Most of these schools he’s been on unoffiical visits.” Wherever he lands, Frazier could be a major contributor. “The sky’s the limit,” Davis said. “He will be a dynamic player wherever he goes. He only gets better if he gets to the next level and his body gets stronger and he gets more and more knowledge about how to play the game. “His athletic ability and talent is second to none. Whatever school he goes to they’re gonna get a kid that ‘s going to help the team get to the next level.”

I think Mickey is going to play mostly 3. But we have the ability to be pretty versatile. Hell, Martin could play 3 pretty easily.

John Udoh has made it to campus

if they don't land frazier i think the staff would like to add another point guard to this class, probably a guy like kendall smith.

If we don't get Frazier you think they would take Smith over Deng?

Not sure that one is a one or the other scenario. One is a PF and the other a PG/SG.

I think we waited too long on Smith LINK

I didn't think he was good enough to get offered by any of those schools.

What is the latest on David Taylor?
Is he not a potential D1A player? He isn't listed on any of the recruiting sites.
Same question on the younger Hammink twins.

They play over seas, there won't be much on the normal recruiting sites about any of them unless they are very highly ranked or play for an extended time in America in tournaments. Shane was hardly on any sites last year till pretty late.
With that said I doubt any of those guys end up with an offer from LSU. We got a PG in Quartermann and all reports were Shane was the best of the three and with our recruiting targets now much better don't see us offering them.

I bet Taylor and Hammink made enough $ to send all of their kids to LSU as walk-ons.

I am sure they have, but their sons probably want to go somewhere on scholarship just for the simple fact that means they will have a better shot at playing. Historically not many walk ons become starters or contributors in basketball. ADP is certainly the exception and not the rule.

taylor is probably nothing more than an ace in the hole right now. he may end up just going pro in germany. hammink kids probably aren't targets. i think they are planning on staying at canarias another year anyway.
