NW LA Rut?

We killed a buck the Saturday before last that was searching, which led me to believe the Rut was getting real close. So I hunted the last 4 days straight and no bucks. Groups of Does everywhere.
Anyone seen any rut activity in NW LA?

Saw 2 lone young bucks Saturday. Saw a big running track close to a feeder. Big boys are chasing little brothers away.

They should be rutting hard by the end of the week. It always seems like it turns right after Thanksgiving up there. A guy on the place I hunt shot a big 10 with a swolled up neck two Saturdays ago.

Buddy of mine killed an 8point this morning chasing a doe, I don't think they're in full rut yet though. His buck wasn't stinking or swollen. Thanksgiving morning should be the day.

I hunt 2 areas, Webster Parish Rut will be in full swing by now, but 20 miles to the south in Bienville Parish the rut won't be in full swing till the middle of December. Go figure...

I hunt Webster about in the middle along Dorcheat. I have yet to see much evidence of the rut. But I haven't been hunting hard since opening weekend.
Will be this weekend though because that's when I think we're going to be seeing it for real. But I've got pics of bucks up to last week and no swollen necks.
