From what I can tell the aren't that good stopping the run, this does not bode well for their offense being on the field a lot against us...

Hence, Jefferson taking more snaps these last 2 games. People bitch but INCLUDING yesterday, Bama is giving up ~75 yards a game rushing. Jefferson got 43 himself AND 3.9 YPC. Bama averages 2.53 YPC allowed.

On the other hand, Arkansas allows ~164YPG and 4.31YPC. Rushing the ball is our bread and butter. 4.77YPC and ~210YPG. The threat of Jefferson will help us win that game.

ETA:
I really like Lee. I love what he's done for us this year. The kid stuck around after a HORRIBLE 2008, didn't play much in 2009, bailed us out several times last year, and played great this year. At this point though, who gives a shite who gets the snaps? Both help us win games and with (possibly) 3 games left, who starts or not doesn't matter. I really doubt they care either. They'll both be instrumental.

Maybe...just maybe...Les, Stud, and Krags know what they're doing. Just maybe.

We had some less than stellar games, particularly aTm...

That said, Bequette and Wright weren't playing...They have BOTH been back and starting since UT...

They've really produced since coming back

We are finally back to 100% healthy on our defensive line. DE's Bequette and Wright have missed a lot this season, but Bequette came back a few weeks ago and has gotten 6 sacks over the last 3 games. Wright has been out since the start of the Bama game and came back last week against Tennessee. We were having to play a Freshman and a DT at DE with those two down. Now we have our depth back at DT and our starting D-line at 100%.

Over the last 6 games, Dennis Johnson has averaged almost 13 carries per game and 7 yards per carry. He's our kick return guy and is a little injury prone, so he hasn't been given 20+ carries in a game, but if we need him to against LSU I don't think Petrino would hesitate to.

Ranked 70th at stopping the run giving up 164 ypg. Against the last 3 good rushing teams they have played they have given up 197 vs Bama, 381 vs A&M, and 291 vs Auburn.

Yea I see LSU rushing pretty well against them.

Yeah it's called depth and y'all ain't got it. We could lose our starting DTs and have no dropoff with the 2nd Team

Starting DT, Both Starting DEs, Both Starting CB's, Starting S wasn't 100% for a few games not to mention Knile Davis.

But no depth and 10-1.

We are going to simply run it down the Hog's throat and physically wear them out.

I see what you're saying, but honestly I'd be more worried about LSU's offense with Lee under center and his play-action passing game. I'd rather worry about containing Jefferson on his scrambles than worry about the deep pass while also having to stop the power run. Our defense had little trouble stopping Jefferson last year.

And Arkansas knows LSU will run the ball, so I expect them to make the QB's beat them with their arm. Arkansas is going to have to try some shots deep against LSU early and try to spread this defense around if they have any shot. It's important for them to start strong. If they don't, and LSU has a lead going into halftime, I don't see them losing.

He threw for 184 on Arkansas last year. It doesn't sound like much, but we're talking about Jordan Jefferson here. That was his second best game last year passing.

Prob so. I fully expect to see a Clock Management game on LSU's half.

we will sack their pussy qb 6 times. Ware and Ford will have a field day. Miles will play typical Madhatter football and beat the hogs by 17.

184 yards is not that impressive to a fan who routinely watches his team's QB throw for 300+. But I get it, in LSU's run-oriented offense 184 yards passing is a good day.
