Under new management. Real homemade chilli and grilled dawgs now. Major upgrade

Thats not what I heard. I heard it is not very good.

It is way better. I know the former management is doing all he can to bad mouth the place. The new mngt seems to have fixed a lot of the problems. They started grilling the dawgs. The chilli is great. I ate there Sunday. Got the Italian sausage, chilli, and pepperjack.

No problem. Told the people I'd say something for them on here. Need one up here in Tn

The new management ran out of chili the other day at 11:45am and put some cold red sauce on my dog.
The new management better get better or I'm done.
How do you run out of chili at a hot dog joint at ANY time?
And if they are grilling they should have more than three dogs on the grill because I waited behind two people with three behind me and it was twenty minutes. At that time of day the grill should be loaded.
I'll give new management one more try but I've been patient since they opened and it is marginal at best.

some cold red sauce on my dog.

It was like tomato sauce with a ton of red pepper and it was a cold bite followed by a red pepper scortch in my mouth. I dropped a few f bombs and tossed seven bucks in the trash. Pissed me off.

they must have whipped up a batch of their "oh shite, we ran out of chili, quick, somebody pour some stuff in the bowl, chili"..

It was the Italian dog and it was apparently marinara with a bunch of pepper and I'm guessing someone forgot to turn the stove on. And the sausage was real mealy.
Maybe you can sent some of those Monroe Sicilians down to help them. Cold onions too.
I've been about ten times and as much as I want it to be there it's just not. Ive had a few just regular dogs that were good but if you stray off the beaten path it's dangerous.
I'm fair though and a hot dog guy so I will continue another time or two. But if a better alternative comes around I'm done.

I loved the old Frankie's. I like my hot dogs steamed and not grilled though. Don't think I will give this new management a try.

I'm pretty sure that the old management made their own chili too.

How do you screw up the delivery of a hot dog in the first place is a question to be pondered, and I thought this was a local endeavor not a chain like thing to have "new mamagement" in place after a few months. But to be open such a short time in the business day and not have one of the key condiments served with a dog is beyond pathetic to say the least.

Yeah I couldnt figure that out. No chili before noon. I'll try the Drusilla place.

I love a good hot dog, but they're just too cheap and easy to make well at home for me to justify going to one of these places.

The old manager, used can chilli and added a few ingredients. That's a fact. The new chilli is completely homemade.
I'll make sure I pass on the info. She told me they were trying to fix all the problems that were left from the former manager.

is it a management problem or an ownership problem?
Posted on 11/18/11 at 12:41 pm to BomBayTiger
It was the former manager. Was questioned about some transactions, walked out. The owner is a local guy, met him while I was there. Had a conversation, I'm wanting to open a small sandwich shop up in tn, picked his brain.
