He had Tommy John surgery earlier this year.
That's weird that they bring up football...he hasn't played since the jamboree...I'm pretty sure he won't be playing football for the rest of the year.

Yes, he's a junior. Happy to see him choose LSU. He has foregone his junior football season for Tommy John to be ready for baseball. He was arguably the best player on WM's defense, a huge leader. He hit .611 last year as a sophomore.

West Monroe outfielder Cade Stone committed Thursday to the LSU baseball program.
Stone said with his college choice out of the way, he can turn his focus on something else — the Rebel football team's quest for its fourth straight trip to the Superdome.
"It's a big relief, and I can focus on the football team now," Stone said. "I looked at the pros and the cons of both Ole Miss and LSU, and I saw where I can get more playing time at LSU as a freshman.
"Both schools are among the top places to play."
As a sophomore, Stone batted .611 with about 15 steals in district play for the Rebels (13-20).
Stone has an interception return for a touchdown as a junior safety on the football team.
The 5A No. 5 Rebels (9-2) host 5A No. 12 Haughton (9-2) Friday in the second round of the football playoffs.
The LSU baseball team (36-20, 13-17) missed the Southeastern Conference tournament this past season, but the Tigers appeared in two of their 15 College World Series in 2008 and 2009, winning the 2009 championship.

So will he be back on the football team next year?

Will he be on the team next year? Is he good enough to get a scholly to play on both teams?

He plays safety and is undersized. Good player, but not good enough for LSU football imo. He doesn't want to play football in college anyway from what I've heard.

Reminds me of Mikie. Very good high school player, not quite LSU football good, early baseball contributor. Not saying he's as good as Mikie, saying similar situation with 2 sports.

I'll glady, as would every other LSU fan, take another Mikie on this team.
