right now my team looks like this (PPR)

Tebow Fitzpatrick

Forte-Mathews-F. Jones- Battle

White-Maclin-Nelson-L. Robinson- Lloyd-Doucet

Hernandez

I'm 6-4 with top 3 teams at 7-3 and 5-5 out of the top 6 playoff spots. So everything's close and I want to pull off a trade for the home stretch.

I feel like a need a stud RB (sick of the Mathews yo-yo game) and I might have the depth to go get it. I just don't know where to set my sights.

We start 2 RBs, 2 WRs and a flex.

Would offering Mathews-White-Maclin for Foster be smart? He's turned down Mathews and White for Foster so I don't even know that this would get it done.

And if Foster is the ceiling, who else could I put in an offer like that for to get? Like what stud is worth that kind of a package?

Rice-McCoy...?

Is that too much for Fred Jackson? Is DeMarco Murray someone to go all in on?

Anyone else I should target or anything else I should try to do with this team?

Is that same deal worth trying for Rodgers even though I'd have dick soup as a 2nd running back?

Honestly, the only way those three-for-one type work is if you are trading with a guy who lacks major depth due to injury or byes or whatever.

I think I would stay pat with your roster. Tebow still scares me. I fear the game where he does not find the endzone and gets like 4 points. However, I am not a fan of Fitz, and I would keep him on the bench. Live and die with Tebow.

I like your RBs personally. I like Mathews a lot. I think you should stick it out, unless you can get a nearly equal player who is healthier (but that is unlikely).

WR wise, I am a big of Lloyd in a PPR. He has had an insane amount of targets recently. The big numbers should come really soon, like this week IMO. You almost need to just ride it out with Roddy cause you will not get enough value in return. Laurent Robinson will cover until Maclin gets back.

Do not trade just to trade. However, if you can offer those three for Foster. Why not? Dude is a beast. I would not really do that for anyone else (other than Rodgers, but then I swap Tebow for Maclin in the deal).

If you want a new RB, then go for Mendy. Still should be a fairly reasonable price. The CJ window closed two weeks ago.

Mendy doesn't really offer anything more than Mathews though does he? Inconsistent in their play and usage.

My goal with this is to get a lock down stud back because I think I have the receiver depth to not lose anything.

I'm with you on Lloyd and my thinking is that a combo of him and Nelson or Robinson, is more than enough with two stud Rbs.

That 3 for 1 would decimate your roster.

I'd feel pretty confident throwing that team in the playoffs. The best team rarely wins. You just need to stay consistent and get hot.

I like White and Matthews down the stretch. Nelson has been hot.

Fitzpatrick sucks now, so you need to ride the Tebow train. Hernandez has also struggled. These are the two spots that would worry me.

you think so? Maybe I'm just not seeing it.

Having Forte-Foster with Nelson-Robinson-Lloyd wouldn't be in a good spot?

I think just because of what White has been this year, I'm placing his value as similar to that of say Lloyd, so losing him doesn't scare me.

Yeah I can see that with White

But what if Nelson sits when GB clinches?

Robinson goes back to the 4th option when Austin comes back?

Lloyd is ok, buts STL just worries me.

Will teams stack the box vs Houston now? Can leinhart keep the defense honest?

I think Tebow will be ok except for this week

i kind of like your roster too, but i think you could definitely use a RB2 type of guy.

id try and deal lloyd or nelson for someone like Reggie Bush/Hillis/Mendenhal/Tobert or a guy i think will be valuable down the stretch, Ben Tate

It sure seems like Foster is doing the work of three players though.

The problem is that you are trading three starters for one with almost no viable backups.

Maclin and White have been nothing special this year. I must just be skewed in thinking that they can be replaced fine by Lloyd, Robinson and Nelson.

Lloyd can replace someone. Robinson can until Austin comes back. Nelson, no.

ETA: Jordy Nelson or David Nelson? I was thinking it was David.

I can see why Mathews would be frustrating.

That being said, I'm not sure the improvement from him to Foster is as great as the potential drop from Roddy/Maclin to Nelson/L. Rob./Lloyd.

Robinson is no lock to keep his job, once Austin returns.
Lloyd is great.
Nelson has been on fire, but... he is a Packer and there's a chance he could just lay an egg one week.

If anything, you may be able to target Fred Jackson and his owner might take the White/Mathews offer or something less.

But I love Fred Jackson, so maybe I'm biased.

Jordy

My WR averages so far this year

Roddy 13.6
Maclin 14.6

Nelson 15.5
Lloyd 13.3
Robinson 13.6

Haha me and this owner have talked about this often and I don't think it would get done.

He's in the same boat record wise that I am but DMac is sitting on his bench and he has NO depth (starting Ogbonnaya)

I love Jackson as well though but not sure what will get that one done

Only averages 10.57 in TDFL. If you throw out weeks 1 and 2, then averages that 13.6.

he wasn't active those first two weeks

but he's been kind of a stud

I went to the game two weeks ago against the Seahawks and came away really impressed by him. He wasn't easy to cover and Tony looked his way often.

21.3 14.2 22.3 the last three weeks.

not a healthy matthews

but one of those WR's will rot on your bench anyway. Might as well have a decent backup if Matthews gets hurt.
