Wink as it has been years since going to the place, the name of the place at the right hand corner of Jackson Square as you look at the Cabildo.

If you're talking about Brocato's, it hasn't been there for years.

Yeah, I'm not sure what you are referring to there. I can only think of restaurants and shops right there.

Wait, maybe there's a La Madeleine where or near where the Brocato's was located. Or am I off?

ETA, I think there is another one on the other side of the square but not directly on it.

I'm a bit too young to remember where Brocato's used to be but some internet research tells me at one point it was at the location where Croissant D'Or is now. That's not in Jackson Square though. D'Or is another bakery but I'd still go with Nola Cakes.

Oh yeah, La Madeleine never came back after Katrina. That's where Stanley is now.

It's good. Not sure if they do cakes or not. Can't remember. I think it is mainly pastries. They make a great croquembouche though!

Well, I'm not a hundred, geesh. And I'm not talking about the original Brocato's, which I think was in the Quarter. There used to be a small, satellite location which was on Jackson Square across Chartres from Muriels.

Indeed. And it really is more likely the drinking than the age if I'm going to be perfectly honest about it.
