How big of a liability is our kickoff coverage on Sat?

We've looked mediocre at kickoffs for much of the season and face one of CFB's best return specialists in Maze. Are any of you concerned about LSU's play on kickoffs?

LSU has a huge advantage on special teams in this one.

dude, we pin the other team inside their 20 at least 60% of the time, off the top of my head

Did you watch the Auburn game?
Also LSU allows 19.78 yards per Kickoff return
Alabama allows 19.93 yards per kickoff return
k
Field Position is so big in this game...LSU will (most likely) win that game, giving them a big advantage.

If our defense and special teams play well then it could be Bama's special teams that cost them the game. They dont kick the ball off very far and their punts aren't very consistent.

Crocodile puntee is going to be huge in this game. The hang time on his kicks is gonna be crucial for icing maze on punt returns.

I had to check to see if this post was bumped from two years ago. Have you watched any game this year at all?

Not sure what kickoff coverage you've been watching all year. IF you only watched the Oregon game, maybe. But since then, we're great. Ball is kicked consistently in the endzone or at worst inside the 5.

Must not have tuned in since Les burning Hairston's redshirt. Our return team is loaded with some of our most elite athletes. I think by the end of the game AhBarn's receiving team was drawing straws to see who was next to die. That one kid is still having nightmares about Jarvis Landry.
