Just caught the last 10 minutes and here is how bad it was:

1) Claimed "USC might be the best team in the country next year becuase BAMA and LSU lose alot" - Child please, LSU loses few and will be consensus #1 next year by a million

2) Luck is the best COLLEGE quarterback in HISTORY - brah Cam & Vince are better in the past decade, Luck is the best NFL prospect perhaps, but the college game is not the NFL, I would take CAM or VY all day long

3) Pete Carroll may have had the greatest run EVER at a university - What? 1 NC (And the BARN was very talented that year)

4) Stanford is the best team in the country - Not a terrible argument, but only a dumbass would actually believe it

I understand stirring the pot and getting ratings, but saying beyond idiotic things turns many people off.

BTW I dont listen to Cowhered, I was waiting for SVP. Did anyone else catch it?

Not going to argue as it's in the future and we won't know.

This is something stupid to say

When Saban/Miles win the NC this year they will be better instantly.

Shite, you're dumb. Kiffen said this - you do realize he's playing Stanford tomorrow? He's been saying this shite all week ala what Lou Holtz used to do...the old, "we don't have a shot; they're the greatest." It's called buttering up your opponent to make them soft and reading their press clippings.

Dude killed it - don't want to acknowledge his record against Top 25 teams (doubt you know it) and BCS bowls that's your problem...at the time was going for 3 titles in a row and almost had it - never been done before.

1. They very well may be depending if Barkley comes back or not.

2. One of the best, meaning arguing for it isn't insane.

3. It was. #fighton

4. Disagree with Cowerd. Stanford isn't that good.

Hey, Tigers... y'all have easily the best team in the country, ranked #1 in every poll, and yet you still wanna bitch about SC. Thanks!

Reasonable build ups of opposing teams and players holds "value" for a for lack of a lesser term, but making asinine statements makes for, again, terrible radio.

Did I say Carroll didn't have a fantastic run? Didn't think so, Boise has a pretty good record against top 25 and BCS bowls too right? Florida WON 2 Crystals in 3 years and only lost to the NC for a 3rd chance right?

Do they teach reading comprehension in the Northwest? Or did you assume you are superior because of the LSU tag next to my idiodic SN?

But no your right about my comments, you smart I dumb.

I especially loved the part of the interview where he's gushing over lane about how buttoned up and quiet and reserved he is. Either he has no idea what kiffin did between his USC stints or was in a coma in 09'.

I think even the biggest USC homers listen to cowherd and say "damn that guy is a USC homer". He talks about them as much as anyone when he talks college football, even though they are pretty irrelevant right now.

Not an SC flame-fest amigo, could have been easily any other school (including LSU), I should have emphasized the radio aspect more.

I think most listeners would rather have a higher quality of show to listen to. Cowherd and Kiffin together is rather brutal though.........

Ya'll are doing better than I thought, but are your expectations back up to PC days?

SC has all the tangibles and intangibles to be top 5 forever, but Kiffin is a POS in my opinion.

I assumed it was another U$C sucks; Carroll was overrated, yada, yada, yada...

Cowherd/Kiffen didn't say anything that probably isn't true except for the Luck greatest line and Stanford best team but I thought it was understood by everyone that Kiffen was playing them up...just like opponents used to do with USC..."we're playing the greatest team of all time." - Harbaugh

And yes, Kiffen sucks in interviews so he's terrible radio...like Saban he has no personality and just drones on talking in coach speak.

sheer nonsense if he really said this - nebraska from the 90s, fsu from teh 90s, ou from the 50s, alabama from teh 70s, etc are better for a ten year span... and if he means a cumulative achievement guys like jo pa and bowden again come to mind instead

I would add Carroll's run as GOAT untrue as well

Kiffin has a little character, horrible as it is, but Saban takes the cake in that category

Heck if you really want to give another great example of that, Miami only lost 2 games in 3 seasons from 2000 to 2002 they only lost 2 freaking games. One was against Washington that was at that time a top 5 team. The other was after a gay pass interference late call against Ohio State that gave Ohio State the momentum and then eventually the win. They won a national title, should have won another and didn't get the chance to play for the other because the stupid BCS picked Florida State, a team that they beat, ahead of them to play Oklahoma. That has been the greatest run I have ever seen in my lifetime. I know the Florida run was something spectacular, but those Miami teams were unbelievable.

the miami 2000-2002 run and the usc 2003-2005 run are shockingly similar - esp for how close to each other they were in time

Again like the Luck thing. He had a great run, but I don't know if I could call it the best ever, especially with the violations/scandal.

They are the most underrated team IMO, but definitely not the best. Not many people are giving them a chance against Oregon, but I think they are capable of beating them and playing in the National Championship.

That would be unfair, as in a few years we will only have 55 scholarship players; gonna be hard to compete like that. But I am happy with the way SC's played the past few games, especially with all the negativity around the program.

I can understand the SEC's dislike for the guy, but he has a completely different persona since coming back to USC. I find his candid speak refreshing compared to most coaches, and the guy has a very dry sense of humor that most people either miss or dismiss. Case in point, when USC was heading to the locker room at halftime and a reporter asked "Hey, your running has been inconsistent this game, how do you intend to adjust for the second half?" And Kiffin quickly replies, "Throw every play." He's definitely good for at least one bonehead decision a game, but he's young and hopefully will just keep getting better.
